Luxuria -- Thanks for your post...

    - Yes, I did read and understand what you wrote previously, and I completely agree with focusing on driving Quality (not Quantity) traffic to your bidding directory.

    - Does anyone have Specific Tips on how to maximize the Physical Amount and Dollar Amount of Bid Submissions to Bidding Directories?

    Your feedback is Greatly Appreciated...

    - What do you think could improve, or make Bidding Directories better?

    Thanks in advance...

    - Is there anything that would make phpLinkBid or LinkBidScript better?

    - Do you think Bidding Directories are usually more profitable than Regular Directories?

    Thank You...

Regular directories generally recieve more traffic, but are prone to being spammed.
Bidding directories don't face that problem and therefore have fewer but more quality links.

What could make the scripts better is even more user customization, although I think it's fine already.

Bidding directories are a niche sector, some will do well, some will fail

Luxuria -- I sometimes get spam submissions to my bidding directories (however, it is very low compared to my regular directories).

bamboo85 -- Why do some bidding directories succeed, and other bidding directories fail?

    - What do you think about Niche bidding directories (instead of General bidding directories)?

    Thank You...

    - How important is PR (PageRank) to the profitability of a bidding directory?

    Thank You...

I think it used to be very important to make big bucks but not so much now.

I suggest you accept casino/adult sites. Make money while you can, these sites will be penalized sooner or later.

If you're bidding directory is penalized, in the way that you're PR has dropped to zero ...

Is there any way to fix this ?
So that you're PR maybe increase back, next PR update.

Or does it seem, that it will be hopeless ?

It's just ... I don't wanna remove my site and start all over again.

What can we do ? Or is it totally over ?

By the way: I'm still busy with link-building, but it seems that it doesn't help to increase my PR again.

    Jason

    RE: Your PR loss...

    - I would try to get some Bidding Directory Homepage Links (where the PR will be higher than the "Deep page" Links).
    - Perhaps start a Blog on your Bidding Directory (which should help increase the Popularity of your Bidding Directory, and thus help increase your Traffic and PR).
    - On a lesser note, you could also add more Years to your Bidding Directory domain registrations (which may give you a slight PR advantage).
    - Don't give up: keep working at it, and things will improve !

    RE: Activating the 'No-Follow' tag...

    - While activating the No-Follow tag May help increase Your PR, I'm sure the Webmasters who submitted their websites to your Bidding Directories would Not appreciate it (as it would obviously affect the popularity of Their websites).

Er...I think that would be unethical to say the least, unless you started out the Bidding Directory on no-follow basis.

    - How has everyone's Bidding Directories been performing lately? (I've noticed an increase in the Submissions, but a decrease in the Bid Amounts).

    - Do you think the Recession is significantly impacting Bidding Directories?
