I know that email marketing has always been controversial due to the severe problem with spam that we have all experienced. I have also reviewed many posts here which range from the typical "never do it you will get banned" to folks who believe that you can do it carefully with you own list or a reputable opt in list. Personally I have no doubt that using your own list (double optin created) is both ethical and productive. The bigger question to me is how one can evaluate a list provider that claims to be an ethical optin provider. For example there is one company that has many advertisements on digitalpoint forums. Now one would hope that would be a sign that it is a reputable company, but how to tell? I would like to consider using a true optin list service, but certainly don't want it to come back to bite me later. Thanks.
I believe any reputable list is going to run you upwards of 500+++... You wont find a "reputable" list for 30 or even 150 bucks. What is your budget like? If you dont think you will receive payments of more than 500 from email marketing you might want to look at another avenue
Maybe, www.netatlantic.com? I'm from software marketing world and several of my colleagues use it. I'm going to shift to it myself in the nearest future.
