Do you think having Paypal as the only option for directory payments hinders income? Would having 2checkout as another payment option increase revenue? I'm esp looking for feedback from directory owners that offer both Paypal/2checkout options as payment...
That's the problem i only have Paypal & have never needed or wanted to use 2checkout as Paypal is everything i need. I could go & get a 2checkout account for $49 but i'm not sure if it really is worth it, not that it costs alot ($49 is nothing) but as i explained above i just don't have the urge to use it & i'm wondering if it would be worth the time/cost of setting up an account with 2co & putting the buttons on my site. If i could make extra income & please people who submit to my directory who don't have Paypal by using 2co i would get one.
What about accepting payments through credit card, and then using the Paypal virtual terminal? That is only $20/month.
Paypal is now already one-stop shop and can accept cc. Also I am not sure if 2co accepts directories as merchants 'cos I know for sure they do not accept freelance project sites (such as www.elance.com) anymore now.
as we all know paypal is used more than any other service ( 2co/moneybookers) for online money transactions so i think its ok if you are having paypal only .. you can also go for accepting payment via CC . _ _ whats the PR of your directory ?
try egold if you want other payment methods..it's free to signup, and i think it's a mod for phpLd for using egold.
yup, i saw it somewhere....it costs 5$ though..if i'm not mistaken, try asking on the phpLD forums and somebody will tell you more precisely
Confirm there is a MOD for egold, just go to the forum and check for "Mods and contributions". but quite recent. not sure how many have adopt the payment method. Bujuk
I'm perfectly fine with Paypal and I get submissions from all over the world. No one has ever asked for another payment option, so I wont be adding anything else for now.
I actually offer a CC accepting shopping cart service where I can process real-time CC payments for businesses, with no fees aside from a flat 5% fee per transaction. No gateway or setup fees, or minimums of any kind. PM me for more if interested. As for PayPal...103 million accounts, but 84.2 million of those are inactive and have been for 60 days or more. Tells me what I need to know about the direction of PayPal.
