Hello, I was wondering how I could go about advertising and marketing my website. It is a tutorial directory, so I need tons of pople to submit their tutorials. How can I find people willing to do this? Where do I go? Should I advertise? Advice is needed! http://www.newtuts.com
Get some tutorials for your own, market them with youtube and start getting some traffic. Search for tutorial creators, there are plenty of blogs that consist of that, contact them and explain your idea, and the benefits for submitting their tutorials there. You can also find people here on DP, depending of the tutorials' category (since designers to coders and entrepeneurs, depending of the type). They can use your directory to build their reputation and get more customers. But it also depends on the kind of web, if they're paid tutorials, free tutorials, if you pretend to create a premium site or a free site...
Well I meant that if you're making for example a tutorial directory for just premium tutorials (money makers, seo curses, poker tips) that can't be found in any other site you should make then a good sales page, market it in thematical forums, etc., get affiliates to promote it for you... so it's different than if you want to do a free site with lots of tutorials and do the ideas I've told you before. Anyway, that was just an example, as I don't think creating a membership site was your original idea, due to the large amount of tutorials that a good big directory needs.
Thanks for clarifying this. You are correct. That is not my intention. I need the most amount of tutorials as possible.
Hi, My name is Doller. Actually I'm trying several time in internet and browse verities website for searching earning money source. Can you tell my How can I do that? I'm introducing myself, I'm a animator (able to use 3D Max, After Effect, Flash, Adobe Premiere) I'm a Web Designer ( able to use Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL) No tell me boss How can I make money from Internet. Thank you,
to make people push there energy to think and contributed there knowledge for free is really hard job, instead of giving free tutorials to you, they could make money with writing tutorials for about, asociatedcontent or helium,so for this goal to archive the minimun way is to make friends with other networks like scribd or wikipedia
I think your mistaken. All my site does is allow authors to submit a link to their tutorials. Their link gets put in my tutorial directory so that others can find it. So, they get free advertising.
calm down people ! there are some people come through search engine and they are new to forum thingy.... And if you are willing to make your site a hit then hire some data entry people who are roaming around this forum they know it better to copy and paste from which source into the right category
Using any sites like youtube or similar to market anything is completely useless...your entry will always get lost among the crowd, the entries you see with many hits is because they put a porn cover or something to attract hits...dude, to be successful in this marketing thing...you have to create scams, cheat and steal everything you find in your way...thats the way to success: corruption
You need to just pick a strategy and stick with it and if it is not getting results, you have to try something new. If you go in with the attitude that your site will succeed and if you do not accept failure, maybe you have what it takes to have a great site.
LoL. I don't like what you have to say but, for some reason I agree with this one. Ever heard of that Abunza? Biggest scam I ever seen. You just recruit people and try to get $1200 from them. Your comission on each sale is like $947. This is also true. I have already made money online with my own site but, I am looking for something with a little more demand! I would market all day on like AOL.com and what not just posting the link and people would come to the site and buy my pirated DVD's. The biggest day I had was like $40 I think. Not to exciting yet, I was always excited to go to the computer and see the $12 deposit for the product! LoL.
It really depends on your market, though, doen't it? Like... most the people I know shopping on Craig's List are usually looking for a bargain. Like garage sale goers trying to get a Chain Saw for .50c. My biggest question is this: How do you design a site, with something that the consumer LEGITIMATELY craves, with a HIGH conversion rate? I want to design something that gets it down to the finest detail like everybody that comes to the site is a converting customer! Haha.
