    Hello

If you are a service provider on DP, you want to read this...

There was a time when directory submissions did the job.
    Not so strong now.

Then there was article submission (and press releases).
Now that isn't as strong either.

What is working now is making use of parasitic hosting.

This means to be on a stronger domain that will host your content.

    Examples of parasitic hosting;
    blogger.com
    squidoo.com
    hubpages.com

    And so on.
    These are dofollow links.

If anyone has services for parasitic hosting, add a link to this post.

Services for parasitic hosting are your best SEO option and this is what customers will be looking for, if not already!

I hope this helps someone to move into a new service offering that helps make them more money too. :)

OK, I'll get it started with a couple DP services on parasitic hosting I just found.

FYI, there is much more than just squidoo lenses!
    A few more;
Ning, Wetpaint, netvibes, wordpress (hosted), pageflakes,

Hopefully others will contribute so this is a reference for us...

    Hubs

Add to this so we can all refer to it. Like a table of contents or yellow pages. Would be handy as a reference.

    What a great idea...

Also you mentioned only these 3:

    blogger.com
    squidoo.com
    hubpages.com

Maybe if somebody has a comprehensive list of these sites, then some of the entrepenouring minds here might create a service to fit this need.

All right then, here's a few...

    squidoo
    blogger
    hubpages
    wikispaces
    netvibes
    ning
    tumblr
    wetpaint
    wordpress
    typepad
    vox

As for social bookmarking, can't ignore digg is a nice easy inbound link for a mini network.

And a few article directories like ezinearticles are worth noting.

By creating one page and creating a little network of inbound links, it raises the value of a trusted or authority site.

Think of it this way - you make a page on Squidoo or Blogger or somewhere.
Then put an article on ezinearticles linking to it
Then add links from ning, vox, digg, etc

Creating mini networks is the way to strengthen it.
Authority sites + interconnected pages hosting your link ;)

    No prob

I think all of us can make use of this idea - buyers and sellers.

If you think this post is of value, please share this url with others...

In a way, we'll be changing the way SEO is conducted on DP.

I think free directories and about dead, and article marketing us on that path

Parasitic hosting, in volume, is the way to go now.

I would definitely purchase a GOOD service like this. But provider: you need to KNOW what you are doing. You need to give a full, QUALITY service and buyers like me will constantly require your services.

    See, this is not it...

I'm talking about taking it a step farther.

DP is loaded with article submitters, directory submitters, content creators etc etc

    I'm talking about HUB creators.

    Building "mini" networks!!

All interlinked (circular linking, not cross linking)

    A > B > C < D < E

C might be a squidoo lense or something else like that.
Maybe an article or press release

But the step further is the package of having a couple links made for that hosted page.

Whoever starts offering this service first, you should do well

This actually looks much like what SEO-Nuke is doing, or am I wrong there?

It takes a macro article spins it around and creates pages on all these sites...

Wow, thanks for sharing. I wasn't aware of this concept (I was aware of circular linking, I always tought of it as an excellent but underestimated resource), but I never heard about parasitic hosting and this concept sound good and makes a lot of sense.

automation can never replace a carefully crafted hub.

when you do seo, your site is the center of it all

making use of certain sites to give yours a boost is idea here.

update - I see people have been taking this idea and offer a similar service on a few boards now

    service providers:
you will do yourself and your customers a favor if you were to offer more than one pasckage.

    Like A, B, C

Maybe a customer only wants to do some now, either so links don't build too fast, can't afford, or just want to test your service quality

    something to think about
