Simple church sign contest $20 via paypal. Aiming for 72hrs

Hello talented people,

I need a simple design for a church sign which will be displayed outside the church.

Requirements:

It must include the logo which can be downloaded from here http://www.sendspace.com/file/u5394j

when printed the sign will be 1500mm wide by 1200mm in height
The sign must also say the following:

Betania Romanian Apostolic Pentecostal Church

Service times: Sunday 9am to 12pm and 6pm to 8pm
Wednesday 6.30pm to 8.30pm
All are welcome to attend


Winner gets $20 via paypal.

wholetmein: thanks for getting this started. I am not a designer so I can't actually visualise what this would look like on a different background. Because now it is on a transparent background I just can't comment too well. I think it is a pleasant design but there seems to be too much empty space. Perhaps enlarging and positioning the letters in such a way to make full use of the space so there won't be too much empty space.

neonic: thanks for the entry. Looks nice and pleasant but it is a little plain. I feel it is needing a bit of colour such as say a background for the text where you can have say white letters on a bronze background similar to my example below. I just feel like there is a bit too much empty space. However, I will not be the one making the decision and I will show it to the guys and will let you know their opinion hopefully tomorrow.

l3fty: thanks mate for the submission. A bit similar to what I said to neonic. It looks good, it's a pleasant entry but it needs more colour because there seems to be too much empty space. Have a look at my example below. Now keep in mind I am NOT a designer but hopefully I can get the idea accross



Minnynaja: thanks for the entry. It looks good and colourful which is nice to see but one thing which is important and is missing from your entry is the original logo. The sign would need to have the original logo on it. I will show your entry to the guys at the church and I will let you know their feedback. I like the background, the style and everything except that one thing that may be a little unsuitable is the images of Christ. This is because this is a protestant church and the protestants unlike the Catholics are not big on the use of images of Jesus and of stained glass windows. However, your entry is still a very pleasant one.

wholetmein: strange but I was visiting someone and had a look on their computer and I could see the file. Now that I am back at home I still can't see it. I will try and reply from memory: I don't like the fact you used too many colours and in particular that blue. I think it should be simpler trying to use mainly the colours in the logo. I like that "border" at the top and bottom but it would have to be a different colour from yellow. I don't like that shade of yellow.

l3fty: looks much better. Don't need any changes. If you win I will ask for some small alterations such as changing some text to white but other than that it looks good.

martalina: thanks for considering this. I look forward to your entry. Also I noticed you're from Bulgaria and a photographer. I met a girl last year at an amusement park in California who was working seasonally in USA and she was also a photographer from Bulgaria.

wholetmein: don't rush. I won't be making a decision in the next 24hrs anyway.
