Dual Directory Submit-- is it beneficial?

I recently saw a directory that charged $10 for submission but would allow you to submit to 3 directories (all in the same niche as the original directory) for a cost of $20.

Here's m main question, if the other directories are simply taking the same urls, descriptions etc.. from the first directory, do these secondary directories hold any value in google's eyes?

ie--is there any value in submitting to niche directories that are basically 'duplicates' of another directory ?

Not really, no. Especially not if they're on the same IP, or using the same database of descriptions and other info.

hmmm. so what about submitting to the primary directory? will it be negatively affected by the fact that others are basically spunging off its contents?

Id not bother if the submitted info is just being copied the exact same to the others.
