Can someone show me a proof (or at least a hint) that Israel is trying to hurt civilians (either Palestinian or Lebanese)? If it was not for Israel trying to avoid harming civilians, their attacks would be widespread and much more swift. Hamas and Hizbollah, on the other hand, are more than happy to kill civilians and cause suffering. Mostly Israeli civilians, of course, but some of their own as well--whatever is necessary to spread its propaganda inside and internationally. As far as why Israel does what it does, that's because the other parties (Hamas and Hizbollah so far) are incapable of resolving conflicts peacefully and accepting Israel's existance to begin with.
You mean like... bombing international airports, roads and bridges? Or dropping bombs in throughout cities?
Yes, I agree with Yo-Yo. Bombing of the airport and blockading the seaports interrupts my monlthy exports of grapeleaves and majudara.
First of all, Israel damaged the runways, not the airport buildings. It did it to a) avoid the terrorists taking the kidnapped soldiers out of the coutry and b) being able to smuggle more arms into the country. See the answer above. What do you know about southern part of Beirut? I guess you either don't know or choose to ignore the fact that this is where most of the Hizbollah is located. Before shelling it today, they have been dropping notes by air asking civilians to leave the area (southern Beirut) Do you have anything to add?
In the process they murderred 50+ civilians and injured countless others. When I said bombing cities I was more or less talking about those in Palestine.
He knows quite well, he just doesn't care when it comes to the Jews, so it would be the "ignore" option. Given his previous support for Hamas, I don't think he likes Jews much.
Israel is defending itself from Hizbollah's rockets and is pounding strategic areas in Lebanon to disarm and weaken Hizbollah. Effectively, it's Hizbollah that killed these 50+ civilains and injured others (if these numbers are true anyway) by starting what they did and refusing to stop. As I said earlier, IDF (Israeli Defence Force) and AIF are doing their best to avoid civilian casualties whose Hizbollah and Hamas, on the other hand, are using as shields. They don't bomb cities in Gaza for the sake of it but rather bomb buildings where militants operate from and cars carrying militants. If you can prove otherwise, please list links and copy/paste snippets from the articles cited proving your point.
The fact that everyone in the world other than the USA is condemning Israel's actions is all the proof I need. I don't dislike the jews any more than I dislike palestinians or anyone else. I don't have anything to gain from either side, all I want is for the murderring of innocent people ON BOTH SIDES to be stopped and never be excused.
I suspect you get your news from merely Aljazeera and/or CNN... Try expanding your horizon a little and learn the topics you are trying to discuss in more detail. Perfect! Now why don't you just convince Hamas and Hizbollah of that and we can all get back to SEOing our sites. Good luck!
What facts can you present to justify the statement? Here, let me help you: http://uk.news.yahoo.com/13072006/325/saudi-arabia-blames-hizbollah-lebanon-crisis.html Everyone but the US, huh? Even Arab countries see who the source of the problem is. So you admit you dislike Jews? And to show that you equally dislike everyone the same, you persistently and singularly attack only Israel, while offering support for Hamas. Let's see, how many times have you attacked the other side? Hmm, I'm coming up with zero. Anyone else?
I'm so sick of hearing silly crap... try Drugdereport and Yahoo news Hmm... I suspect you get your news from the same "foxnews" henny reported Iran firing missles on Israel from There you go, one-sided again, acting like all the problems of the mideast are to blame over two small groups of terrorists .. if only it was that simple
Google and yahoo notoriously favor the 'liberal' view. Something I wrote a while ago. Personally, I make faulty assertions based on similiar (or the same) media...I find that nothing is really confirmed till absolutely every one agree it happened, and even then the details have to be worked out. -------------------------------------------------------------- From what I heard Yahoo! is a left-leaning company. And since Google and Yahoo! have incredible big ties together, I'm assuming the overall philosophy of business is similiar. If you take a look at Yahoo! news you'll find that there's quite a taint of liberal biases in there (since their main sources are AP, Reuter or the New York Times). It's assumed that 40% of the youth looks through these news sources for info, so it's not a surprise that any internet company is looking as though it's a tool for political gain. I'm quite sure neither party would have an easy time if everybody had a broader view of them...jmo. Here's an article speaking of google and all internet companies whom seem to be on a trend of selectively demonstrating ideas ie cutting out conservative thought. "The article stated that of the over $200,000 Google employees gave to federal candidates in 2004, '98% went to Democrats, the biggest share among top tech donors.'" http://newsbusters.org/node/5477... This is nothing usual, as political parties have been using media sources for spinning their truth for sometime, and have been ruthless in doing so. Personally, I think it's dishonest for any media source, especially on the internet, to selectively chose which is reputable news and which is not. The internet is supposed to be a lot freer than the media outside of it, and that's probably the best thing about it.
Is it true the UN hasn't in it's history official condemned Hamas (of anything), but it has Israel? I heard that Newt Gringrich....curious if you know if that's true or not....? Note: my terminology might be off a bit....
What on earth are you talking about? Yahoo news gets feeds directly from all kinds of sources... Associated Press, Reuters, AFP, NPR, USAToday, CNN.. are you really calling all these places biased "liberal" news? Is it because yahoo doesn't feed directly from foxnews or the whitehouse I also mentioned Drudge.. which is independant I believe.., and often has conservative right-wing based ads running on their site The short version? The problem is millions of people who have been done wrong, who are starving, living in poverty, growing up with murderred families and siblings.... and are turning to violence.
I'm not entirely sure on Hamas, Rick, but the UN is notorious for quickly condemning Israel on anything. A quick preliminary check shows results that might favor what Newt was saying, but surely not conclusive: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q="united+nations+condemned+israel"&btnG=Search http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q="united+nations+condemned+hamas"&btnG=Search
