its really said to see someone put so much effort into something and get nothing in return.. it is complete discourgement...maybe you should add a mailing list, so when you have something new to offer..this way you could be building up potential future customers... why are you sending to your landing page, and vendors page? I would think you would just promote your landing page, as the vendors page would be some default not interesting page... I read another post similar to this where the OP was submitting 5 articles/day and over a months time frame has hardly made 5 sales...if this is the best that article marketing has to offer, then i am very disapointed to say the least.
dsurlock: i'm pretty sure that it's because i'm new to marketing, not that article marketing doesn't have any power. i will try to get better and we'll see by the end of my 30 days what are the results! thanks for reading the journal
I love this kind of journals, especially when people experiment various ways to market the product. Affiliate Marketing is all about experimenting, follow what works best for you and continue experimenting new things. All the best Mate... --Ashish
Marlexca: I don't like marketing scams so I will stay away from modern times "trading robots"... But thanks for the advice. Ashish: thanks for stopping by, one of your journals was among the reasons why I started this one I hope I will be able to catch up with you in 6 months Cheers
Nice thread mate,I'll keep my eyes on this one.Wish you all the best, but I somehow believe that you set up yourself a to big goal to achieve,100$ a day starting from scratch isn't an easy task. Why don't you set yourself a smaller money limit daily, something like 50$ a day is also good considering the circumstances.
What are you selling that converts like crap jeesh ahha. I was bored, grabbed a product with 30 some gravity, I get around 5-10 hops a day and converts 1:3 usually. Either I got some hell of a pre-sell, with some kick ass targeted traffic or something is up with your stuff. If you don't get a sale in a couple days I'd say scrap it and try another product.
Michael T: thanks for the kind words, yeah $100 per day is a bit high but it's really just an ultimate goal, if I only achieve $20-50 per day, well I don't really care I will keep on working Marlexca: not at all, I worked yesterday harder than any other day, I just fell asleep on my keyboard so couldn't post to the journal However today I will catch up thatsgreat2345: yeah you are right I think I will try to test about 10 products this month and see how each converts. Do you mind sharing your presell page?
Looks like IT CAN BE DONE! Okay guys here's the post we've been waiting for the whole week! I made my first sale as an affiliate bum marketer. This is 100% only with articles and rewritten articles (content) posted to sites like Squidoo, Hubpages, etc. I was dumb enough not to track properly where this sale came from, so I will install some tracking system ASAP. I still think this product converts a bit low for me, and I already made a list of other possible niches I will start to promote with at least 10 articles each to see how they perform and when I have some stats on my hands I will zero in on the best converting ones. In case I didn't have enough programs for the weekend, now I have tons of work to fill my time coz from now on I won't stop until I get to $100 per day as promised Good luck to everyone who's starting out now: it can be done! I just proved it. Well that is the first sale part of course, I'm faaar away from $3k per month YET. But I will share more about my strategy in the coming days, and be sure to check out my official blog in case you haven't done yet!
Good job man, whats your current conversion rates? For one of my products I've got something like 1:165 or something lolol. But that whole idea was a bit of a mistake... I bought a domain without even knowing what the hell I'd do with it. Just remember Click Bank's CDR rule Something I only heard about recently. You need atleast 5 sales to qualify for a check, one master card payment, one visa payment and paypal payments don't count . Atleast I'll have a nice $100+ check for my first pay out.
Thanks edrectory! Yeah that CDR sucks but I'm here for the long run so I hope I will achieve it soon enough. You know that's just for CB to keep as much money as they can. As IM is pretty difficult (in contrary to popular beliefs) most of the guys just abandon their CB accounts after one or two sales so CB can keep their commission... Typical strategy from a big profit-orientated company I had a terrible conversion about 1:80 I think, the problem is that I don't know about you but my visitors were extremely targeted, presold twice and still very "bad" conversion :-/ I might be doing something wrong but we'll see about that when I have my strategy applied to 3-4 totally different products
While there's no doubt that there probably is SOME truth to your statement. The 5 different credit card rule also protects you, me and every other affiliate from rogue buyers simply signing up to clickbank to get their 75% off before purchasing a product. I mean, who's going to pay $49 when they know they can take just five minutes out of their day to make a clickbank account, type in their new hoplink and buy it for less than $13, whilst getting the 75% redeemed to them via check. In the long run, it probably saves us quite alot of commission.
Well there's that part also, you're right. It's just annoying the first time for new affiliates, but I also understand that it's in the protection of the regular users of Clickbank.
eBooks = Going out of fashion. Very few people get scammed by buying those things any more. Start looking for companies that market tangible products if you're serious about making good money.
@ SirKhan. So one week and you got sale? How many articles you have uploaded in this one week? How many places?
do u know any good affilite programs? i dont want to sell a $1000 product that gives me 5% and $50 it's just way harder.. but thanks for the advice though
Lol nothing special about my pre-sell page, well I might of written it well but didn't mean to hahaha. I think it is just the product I'm selling. It has low competition, and I got a really good keyword. But I haven't been selling too long but my rule of thumb is generally. 3 days of work, if I have 0 sales, and somewhat high # of hops with targeted traffic I will just scrap it. Leave the site up obviously because the work you put in will trickle traffic in with the chance of a possible sale. But as long as you put your full effort into it, and nothing comes, time to change your product. By no means am I an expert, far from, but that is just what I believe, because once you find that thing that is converting like hell, hit it hard until it starts dieing.
thatsgreat2345: yep, good advice I'm happy with the first sale of the product I started to promote, but I think I can find better converting products so I will just leave it for now and maybe get back to it when I have 3-4 other products promoting in my arsenal zeroto3k-in30days.info Found my Second Product Group to Promote and I Already Started! I was working for 2-3 days now on a new landing page and I filled it up today with 2-3 (2.5 to be exact ) products of my second group that I will promote. I will do a bit of PPC testing to see how the visitors think about the landing page (PPC is very good for instant testing as you don't have to wait forfree traffic to start to flow in) and then maybe tweak it a little and later I will start to setup my article/SEO campaign around these products. The niche is crowded that is for sure but I think I have found some good keywords that I can start with.
