I know this is a seriously old thread, but just had to add my 2 cents. Craigslist seems to be tailor-made for scammers. If any money was to ever be made there, it was a while ago and the window of opportunity is now closed.

Spam is unsolicited materials. You do not receive them, you go and read them. Therefore it is not spam. Can I spam EBay by posting 100 items for sale in one day? No, Ebay or CL or others are site made to receive ads... My own email is not made to receive the thousands of "do you want viagra" or " you won the lottery" stuff...That's spam.... However, lots of scammers respond to posters, to buy their stuff from Nigeria with fake cashier checks...CL is doing nothing about that....

I went to ezadsuite.com to read about this software and they have a redirect to beta test Back page pro. I Googled ezadsuite and they are being sued by Craigslist. I do not know when you bought this program but I can't find the sales page.
Yes, I agree, the staff at cl are pretty sharp, and their processes makes it hard to build a useful software. They have a strong user based model. So most business features are secondary to them.
