#1 Now What ??

Hello webmsters

My website is on first Rank in google. i want to know now what should I do to remain at their? As such my keyword is very competitive and i am afraid to loose that position with no work in few days.

So what steps can retain the position??

Try to maintain your position. Do regular submit to directories and publish some articles. this will boost you site

 

Thanks buddy but i have heard that now a days google will not give much weight to directory submission and article publishing to articles directories. so what are the other ways can help me in retaining the position.

As such i have achieved this position after 10 Months so not want to loose it easily

 

Just keep building links for that phrase and overlapping phrases. Try submitting some articles to article directories. If you can think up something newsworthy for your website, a press release helps a lot, especially if you pay for professional syndication. Another good strategy is to build mini websites on networks like squidoo.com and hubpages.com. Those mini websites do take extra time though as you need to do some promotion for them to be effective. There are many other link building strategies discussed on this forum.

Your best strategy will be to not be satisfied with just that one ranking. Keep building links using other related phrases as link anchor text. Build up a strong enough link profile that you are dominant for your niche. Remember to build up backlinks for other pages on your website too.

You have heard but no ware you will find this type of information provided by google. So feel free to submit articles and directories . Don't go for link exchange because link exchange is a kind of spamming.

 

Just keep building link using several of your main keyword as an anchor text, and keep update your site with relevance content. that's all.

You might try working on getting into some of the harder authority sites - DMOZ and wikipedia. Also, keep the relevant content coming. I've done the Squidoo, Hubpages, stuff and that does seem to help.

You could also starting building strong links to internal pages within your site to get an authority listing or indented listing. Congratulations and good luck!

if possible, install wordpress as a blog on your site and update regularly and make it stronger for your internal linkage. if you are talking about long tailed search in first page, and you probably have to optimize more for shorter keywords, hope this helps

 

#1 ... now maximize your profits! Test conversions, ads, layout, everything. If it took 10 months to get there i guess there should be some reward.

Just continue your link building method when you stop your rank will drop due to your high competition as you stated.

 

Thanks buddy but I think Link building is a spamming techniques. So I think Posting some quality content to a blog and website on a regular frequency can help in good way.
