Unable to start Apache

I was learning PHP so I needed Apache. I installed it on my own PC so that I could work locally. It was working nice for the first day. But when I shutdown my PC and open it up tomorrow. I wasn't able to start it. I'm using Windows XP SP3, Apache 2.2 and PHP 5.

When I click start in Apache Service Monitor, a message box pop ups saying "The requested operation has failed!"

What could be wrong? You want me to post any logs?

    What apache error logs says?

Also, I suggest you use Wamp or Xamp instead of installing Apache and PHP separate.
