No, it has not been banned or sandboxed by google. Google is changing SERPs and your site might have been hit. It happen to me but after a few weeks things went back to normal.

Exactly, and i agree because it happened to me as well, they Surely are changing or implementing new stuff in their algorithm.
Also could be the reason that you have very less amount of content showing on the home page. [Just a Guess]

Because your domain still shows on google searches. If it was banned it would not show.

thanks so the fact my domain name is still showing up means I am not sandboxed? if you are sandboxed, does your website not show at all?

Personally, I think the idea of a sandbox is a bit of a Webmaster creation. Even if it does exist, a site only maintains this status for a short period of time. So I wouldn't really worry about it.

SERPs is another story all together and a very important one at that. If your site ranks well for good keywords then you get more visitors, meaning more sales in your case.

To do this I would advise you to keep away from very popular keywords, at least in the beginning. You can always try as a long term marketing strategy ,but make sure that other good "secondary" keywords or phrases are also targeted.

Another thing to remember is that Google is very dangerous. Don't rely solemnly on their traffic like I did. Because one day you're at the top and the next you can't even make enough money to pay for a nice warm cup of coffee.

thanks for your reply, so do you think my website has just had drop in SERPS? and it should even itself back out?

for instance i was 3rd last night for cheap condoms, under the www.johnnysinajiffy.com link, and now I am no where, I was 8th for condoms, and now no where

can they just ban www.johnnysinajiffy.com/catalog/ part of the domain name,or if i was banned/sandboxed would none of my website be showing up in google?

I think things will settle in a few days or maybe weeks. It took nearly a month on my side.

You can use google's webmaster tools to get some interesting information on your site's SERPs.

It might happen that your site is sandboxed,or else after google updation so many of dite lost their SER, PR, as well as Rankings.
It will be back on the position where it was just keep your SEO efforts on.

Your site has just been suffering from Google's SERP update. You can do some advertising or marketing in the meanwhile to keep sales up if you want, but from what I've been reading on this forum and from my own experience, I wouldn't worry about it.

have you tried doing intitle: inanchor: searches for your keywords ?

If your site still ranks high doing that, it's almost certainly sandboxed.

    hi

    thanks everyone for your response

the question i have though, why i am so confused

If you are SANDBOXED, does that mean none of your links on your website for any keywords are shown?

for instance durex condoms, yesterday i was showing as 3rd, today I am no where to be seen

however cheap durex condoms, I am number 1 and 2 today, under the same domain name

If i was sandboxed surely no keywords or no URLS would come up?

Secondly why can i got from showing so high to no where over night?

If there is a problem with your backlinks, too many to quick or from spammy sources, then you can have a keyword penalty. That usually happens on competitive keywords, which condoms would fall under. So you could rank well for durex performa condoms or variations of the word condoms but no where for the main keyword. Usually a problem when you don't vary your anchor text enough and with new sites.
