You better wish her good luck, then! It's a pretty huge step to take, but the income that she may generate working online might be better than what she had before (without knowing how much she made, of course). If she's a good writer, she can write articles. But the rates aren't really good here at DP. 100 words for $1 isn't something you can make a living on.
The best is writing non english articles. Less undercutters. You still have those africans and asians that pretend they speak the language and grab some business, but the dumb people that go for cheap and hire them quickly realize that someone from Bengladesh writing in french or german doesn't give good results.
