Hey everybody I am having trouble getting google ads to work with my wordpress blog. Its self hosted and everything so I can't think of any other reason why its not working except that the theme I am using is conflicting with it. I contacted the theme developer reguarding the issue and he said he didn't find anything wrong with it. So I am turning to DP users to help me out. Blog is http://stickopia.com/ the right sidebar right underneath the search box is supposed to be a 300 by 250 adsense ad. It only displays the white backround. Any help would be appreciated. And yes I have let it propagate.
Lot of times this happens with google adsense in sidebar. I suggest you to change the theme that you are using. It should resolve this problem.
did you ever used google ads on your blog or not yet? if you have ever used google ads on your blog then may be google has blocked ads on your site
This happened to be as well when I first started a blog on colic. Since your other Google ad is showing public service announcements, I would guess that they have no relevant ads to the categories that you have optimized your site for. They may just not have a PSA that fits into that template and so it shows blank most of the time like on my site. If you refresh a whole lot of times you may see an ad block pop up once or twice. Do you have your site and template completely optimized? If so, what are some of the top terms? You may try going in and adding some general fashion related terms into your tags if they aren't already there, in order to give Google more of a variety to place there.
alright I added some fashion keywords checked through the code and waited over 2 days. Still service ads. No I have never used adsense before. Switching themes is not an option right now. I have spent 2 weeks getting this theme to my perfection. Anybody have any other ideas? My site is based off of images so I wonder if google isn't able to detect any categories for adsense based off of images?
I had the same problem. I think it's the theme itself. I took down my adsense for the time being. Benn running public service ads for months and I've had it. Have you tried tinkering with the theme? Either it's the code in your theme that's blocking it or google doesn't see a fit with your content.
You have ads showing in the archive and I think that's only because there are tags there. AdSense ads show against relevant content on the webpage, your site has no content to speak of...well not that I could see. In fact if Google take a look at your site they would probably remove the ads altogether, that happened to me on a site I filled with an ebay store and AdSense....they threatened to remove it from all my sites if I placed AdSense on pages with no content again...so be careful they're pretty ruthless. Ad some content and ads will appear. Remember there are AdWords advertisers paying top dollar for their ads to appear on people's sites like yours, Google need to ensure those ads appear on relevant sites, they do that by scanning the keywords in your content of which you don't have any bar a few tags in the archive. I took the content down for a bit and now 2 posts are back up. (Still getting things ready.) I have them on all pages and posts but the home page. I put in several different keywords but nothing is showing up still. Its starting to get on my nerves. I realize that my posts contain mostly pictures but they do have keywords in them to. Very few but there are some. How can I put keywords on my front page and have google use them? I don't want to write more in the posts then possible. What if I show the tags on the homepage?
