Please recommend dedicated server

Hi. I need recommendations for a good dedicated server with full technical support 24/7. Dedicated server should be in US or UK. Should be able to handle high volume spike without memory problems. I use one dedicated server and although it is being used far under its capacity, it still can't handle a spike when it happens. I have slow technical support from that company. Please send me pm so that I will get notifications to check for replies. I won't be checking this thread here; only checking pm. Thanks.

I suggest http://www.wiredtree.com as their services and support are just top notch.

They currently run a promotion here:

    http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=853168

Double bandwidth and double memory + 10% off on quad core and xeon servers.

I would also suggest some form of raid, either RAID1 or RAID10, to multiply the number of i/o available when traffic spikes are present.

We've used 800hosting.com for several servers. They offer excellent service, and their prices are really good.

I use Godaddy - Unlimited space, Unlimited doamins - Linux plarform, nice response and service

Hosting account costs - 15$ per month, and each domain at 10$ per year.

In my research I have realized that there are two camps. One is more expensive but their servers are in one of those major datacenters in the US. The other camp is much cheaper but in a smaller not so publicised datcenter.

It comes down to risk tolerance vs. money.

Thank you everyone for your recommendations. Price is not the issue but support is. In 5 months with 2 upgrades of dedicated server plans, site was down almost every month for at least 12 hours each time. Support is limited to restarting server so the root problem was never solved. Consequently, the same problem rears its ugly head all over again. Once, my dns was also removed by their mistake. Technical support done by a rotating team who couldn't care less. Every move or upgrading will give downtime again. I think I am badly hit. That makes me consider carefully where to move.

I highly recommend Future Hosting. I have been using them for over 2 years, the service is outstanding, and the prices are very competitive.

I lease a fully managed dedicated server with 4 gigs of memory. On that server I run 6 wordpress blogs, 3 vbulletin forums and a game server.
