Bluemouse, but it's okay to kill her baby when the woman was raped? As far as "bar sluts..." any woman who claims to have been raped needs to be taken seriously. A lot of women don't even come out and tell people they were raped for fear of not being taken seriously.
Those are already available in the UK. I don't see that they've done much to cut the birth rate though.
many women these days are mean; to be a woman is not enough - yes, it's possible for them to say whatever they want
Condoms are not even that effective when you factor in breakage, leaks and the fact that not everyone knows how to use them correctly. Obviously, it's better than no protection at all but there are even more effective methods of birth control out there other than condoms. Furthermore... with the raging debate going on about contraception, a lot of women are finding their access to birth control limited or denied, because certain pharmacy technicians object to birth control on moral grounds. Then what is a woman supposed to do? Abstain? Sure, but how realistic is that, honestly?
Women these days are mean? What kind of an arguement is that? That's exactly why women are so scared to come forth and declare they were raped. A lot of people either thought she asked for it, won't believe her or feel she got what she deserved in some way. It's ridiculous.
contraception... another tough subject call me old fashioned but people should have sex only when they are married and lots of problems like this would suddenly disappear I'm not talking about the ones who truly got raped I'm talking about the ones who made sex with a guy and then said that were raped
Bluemouse, who are you to determine whether a woman was truly raped or not? You can't possibly know. You can make assumptions, but that's all they are. As far as contraception... people are going to have sex before they are married, period. There's no way to control what other people do in the privacy of their own relationships. These problems are never going to disappear entirely, and it's not realistic to think they will.
That's pretty much how I equate it, Matt. It's an unrealistic expectation that's never going to happen.
We should probably take all the "extra millions of people" coming into the world from those who were NOT responsible and give them to those who ARE responsible. Afterall, it's popular these days not to take responsibility for your own actions. "It's everyone's fault but mine. Even with the kids I produce." Or, do like Hitler did with unwanted "extra millions of people."
Exactly .. What I do see in this thread from some people, goes like : Hell, the parents don't want them for one reason or the other so ... KILL them. Don't offer them a chance to grow up and contribute to this world ..
yes, it's pure utopia - I'm a dreamer and one more thing: giving birth to a child is not enough - you have to help him grow, educate him, etc - not throw him into an orphan house...
Condoms are effective. Birth control is effective. You are arguing the rare exceptions as a foundation for the whole of the problem. Incorrect again. A lot of women are not finding access to birth control limited or denied. There have been very, very rare cases where an isolated pharmacist (individually) has refused to do their job. That's why there are 100's of other pharmacies to choose from. These are very rare, isolated exceptions, not the rule. These are extremely weak arguments.
YEH!!! We could hand over 40 million babies to Gtech and George Bush! God has sent them a clear message what the right thing to do with them all is - SEND THEM TO WAR!
Talk about a non-sequitor. Mind boggling. Alright, two pointless posts in this pointless thread. *unsubscribe*
"Everyone" is not the "common" denominator. Arguing the extreme cases (most of whom have conceded the extreme case) to justify the broader general practice because of irresponsibility is not an honest argument.
