yes choice it is, who really thinks they have the rightful authority to tell women they cannot do something, it is there own body. The government would be way off base and basically start to tear up the bill of rights by outlawing abortions. and they would never really stop, they would just become black market abortions and dangerous for the woman.
I think that many women, even if they were raped, would change their minds once they saw the ultrasound.
I agree, moneyspeaks. If abortion were to be outlawed, do you honestly think it would stop? All of the women in the world get together and say, "Oh, darn. Looks like we're stuck being saddled with children now because a bunch of males said so." Don't think so! Blackmarket abortions would pop up all over the place, and women would put their lives in danger because the government decided that women didn't have a right to choose what to do with their bodies.
right. but you don't need to hold a baby in your hands in order to value life in all its forms you answered this question in your own post - see above I think rape is one of the most horrible things that can happen to a woman - and I don't think they would change their minds so easy as you say
Bluemouse2, I fail to see how I answered the question. It seems to be that perhaps you are unable to justify your thinking, and instead choose to avoid the question. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel your logic is flawed. This of course is just my two cents and is not meant to be taken offensively.
ok, then I will post your message here to remember: and I would say it would be terrible hard for a mother to love her child if is the result of a rape - because this child will always remember her the rape I'm against abortion, yes! But this is an exception.
And bring another unwanted child into the world? As someone posted earlier, every man women and child in London would have to adopt 7 children EVERY YEAR just to adopt all of the foetuses that are currently being aborted. What do you suggest we do with all these kids?
Okay Bluemouse, I understand what you are referring to now. But abortion is an all or nothing case, or at least should be. I am pro-choice, as I have stated. However, how can you, a self-described pro-lifer, advocate the "murder" of babies when a woman is raped, but not at any other time? Isn't it still murder in your eyes?
So is it just for rape then Bluemouse, how about incest and cases where the mother is likely to die, is that any better than rape?
when a life is interrupted by someone else, yes it is murder the subject is complex indeed but some things need to be done - everyone hates war for example but if there is need to fight lots will never object
Okay Bluemouse; in cases of rape and incest, when a woman has an abortion she is still intervening in her unborn child's life, is she not? She is still making the choice to "kill" her baby. Obviously, I am not arguing against that; but I am trying to make you see where your logic is a bit flawed, my dear.
face it: there is no safe place to draw that line period. I can already see some dumbass bar sluts claiming they got raped just to get rid of the baggage ...
You still havn't said what we should do with the extra millions of people coming into the world? Are you going to take them all in?
