Traffic exchange sites are all over the net, increasing in number every day!! Why doesn't Google simply monitor these sites, see which sites are being advertised there and hence ban the owners of these sites?!! I think that would be a major blow to the fraudsters and I think it is an easy step to implement , isn't it??! I mean what's the big deal of watching which ads and which adsense code is being advertised this way! I think if google attack these sites, they will solve click fraud partially , not completely ofcourse ,but will help a lot. It just struck my mind as I am writing this post: can someone place the url of ur site in these traffic exchange sites and hence get u banned , though ur innocent?? (Another form of Click Attack) Also, I think I noticed before Google ads advertising these sites!!!!! I am not sure , but this would be so disgusting if true. Did anyone notice this?? Again I AM NOT SURE.
I know they are illegal, that's why I am asking why google ain't attacking them , and in fact, it seems google is marketing them!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I interviewed Kim Malone from Google, she went through the list of all the types of programs that deliver poor quality traffic and could result in a suspension. She didn't name specific services, though, probably for legal reasons. She did say that a publisher could email support to ask about a particular source of traffic and whether it was ok with Google or not.
Fair enough. So a quick note to users that use such traffic generation sources. E-mail Google and ask first.
Again , no one answered my question: why google ain't attacking these sites by banning accounts for those who own websites advertised there? and are they really marketing them?
I did answer, yes, publishers have been suspended whose accounts are associated with these types of sites.
*ok , I know that , but I think google hasn't implemented this THAT much . I mean suppose ur in the google team . You log into one of these sites, view 100 site and thus ban almost 100 user. This is not happening. Only few users using these traffic exchangers get banned, otherwise we could have seen these sites decreasing in number and becoming obsolete. THis ain't what's happeneing, they are increasing in number and they got hundreds and thousands of subscribers. * why ask google about any of these sites? they are all Illegal, that's clear I think! * Anyone got more to say as regards Google having ads promoting these ILLEGAL sites. Can anyone confirm seeing such ads 'cause I ain't sure but I think I saw them
I assume that you aren't actually talking about "traffic exchanges" but of "adsense exchanges" (actually niether sites are Ilegal as i am pretty sure no law has been passed against them )
Well, you can have millions of pageviews a day, that doesn't guarantee any income from adsense since it's CPC (with very few targeted CPM campaigns). The networks who really need to fight traffic exchanges are the CPM networks. When google will get more into CPM, they will probably increase their pressure. As things are now, they probably just don't bother.
You dont know this unless you have an inside source with Google who keeps you updated on who gets banned.
I mean sites that let you surf others' sites and click their ads as they surf urs and click urs. These sites are ofcourse prohibited, ask anyone here in DP or elsewhere. They don't click out of interest for the ad, you all agree to click to help each other make a revenue. Google's TOS: " Prohibited Uses. You shall not, and shall not authorize or encourage any third party to: (i) directly or indirectly generate queries, Referral Events, or impressions of or clicks on any Ad, Link, Search Result, or Referral Button through any automated, deceptive, fraudulent or other invalid means, including but not limited to through repeated manual clicks, the use of robots or other automated query tools and/or computer generated search requests, and/or the unauthorized use of other search engine optimization services and/or software;...." And again ask anyone here
You're talking about autosurf traffice exchange sites, but there are many MANUAL surfing similar sites and hence ads will be clicked in these sites!! The sites are increasing in number with most probably increased number of subscribers. Everyday a new site or two emerge. By the way, I don't use them , but i visit their sites and know what I am talkin about. Not planning to join any ofcourse, this is not just illegal , it is unethical and is responsible for a major part of the Click Fraud issue.
so as i said you aren't talking about traffic exchanges... you are talking about adsense exchanges.. and btw google don't make laws so they are not illegal they may be against googles TOS but they are not against the law of any soverign state ..ask anyone here
Participating in autosurf programs is against Google TOS. Google discourages participating in manual surfing programs but does not explicitly ban them. Adsense exchanges are a whole different ball game.
You mean joining manual surfing programs is ok????????? Can you confirm this plz and state your sources. Guys , does anyone know anything about this?? 'cause i would be joining them if it's ok I doubt it though.
