    This was the amount the former British prime minister Tony Blair earned for his two and half- hour speech he delivered at the Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines.

    Now he had been accredited as the world's highest paid speaker. Moreover he has earned £12m since leaving No 10, and is now the highest paid public speaker in the world.
