FORCED Adsense clicks-- major violation

    Check this out:

    http://www.pcfileadvisor.com/submit.aspx?accept=30709

This guy is trying to REQUIRE people to click an adsense ad to get their software listed on his page(claiming validation, of which there is none in reality). He also tells people they should click extra times to win the iPod giveaway, saying they'll be more likely to win.

I already reported it to Google as a violation-- does it take more than one report to get a manual review of his site?

It may take longer, but one is all that is needed.

What happens when you click it? Do you go to a site chosen by google as it relates to his sites content? I don't want to make him any money, nor do I want to cost some innocent advertising cash by clicking pasting the url.

I didn't click it, either-- it's a normal google adsense ad that someone is paying money for. I clicked 'ads by google', and then 'send feedback to google' and chose 'report a violation' and put a quick note in...

It's a legit Google ad. You can use the Adsense Preview Tool to view it so it won't cost the advertiser any $.

This violation is really something. I suspect this person never even looked at the TOS. Amazing.

Or worse yet, maybe they read it and figure, "oh, I won't get caught-- it's not posted on my website. I just Email people this link and tell them to click on it"...

Seems extortion kinda 'marketing' ploys are becoming more common. I heard some spyware thing the other day threaten my fiance that she was 'legally obligated' to pay something or other... I promptly cleaned up her computer of all the spyware BS... ;-)

Idiot... I hate people who try to screw advertisers. They don't understand that the money they are getting has to come from someone.
