Yes it's getting very popular. So much so the spam is really starting to make people reward people who are truly answering questions. I started 2 weeks ago. I'm now at level 3 and see well over 50 UV a day. It's pretty easy if you use common scene and are friendly with the n00bs. A good tip is to look for questions with no relevant answers or just plain no answers. show your best work. Simple but detailed answers will make your answer stand out and earn you 10 extra points. In my opinion twitter should induct this kind of thing. A reputation system would most def weed out allot of the BS.
I have only been using the Yahoo Answers method for two days now and already I have noticed a pick up in activity from spiders and other random traffic haha
The answers that I post are all legitimate, but I noticed if I answer too many questions in one day with my website URL they will eventually block me out and give me an "Error 999" when I try to post anymore answers lol
I'm getting about 33 per day. I started using Yahoo Answers on either the 6th or 7th of April (cant remember exactly) and according to Awstats I have 270 visits from Yahoo - thats at least 30 per day.
all good links are good links and has benefits for your site even if its small. The end results are for the long term.
I think the PR credited will be passed to the page it's linking to despite it's "nofollow" links in the yahoo answer. Furthermore, yahoo answer page will be ranked higher in search engine too.
First, I'd like to thanks seoz such a helpful article. Getting a relevant backlink from trusted source is always a good deal.
I get a ton of traffic from Yahoo answers because I really am an expert in my field and I offer a free initial consultaion. I'd be wary of buying a service to ask and answer questions because it's likely to get flagged and terminated by Yahoo anyway.
Even though Yahoo Answers are nofollow, most of the webmasters like to use them because of its traffic. Infact the traffic is targeted and one can easily convert them into sales.
It might sound crazy but I have used Yahoo answers for a couple of months and when I was not on it daily answering questions I noticed right away the traffic count went down. Now that I am trying to spend the time to answer as questions per day as they allow I can see the traffic from yahoo to my website has jumped a ton. The traffic you get from it will amaze you.
please suggest a do follow site,i have new site, but now i cant know how could promote my site,i have submit in directory.but this is very slowly,i want to quickly methods
I look at using Yahoo Answers as a way to get direct and targeted traffic to a specific website also. However, I do respect what Yahoo has done and believe we should be contributing specific resources and not focusing on just improving page rank. I am sure we have seen people just spamming Yahoo answers with non relevant links. Thanks for the info.
