Hey everyone, as a few people have already done I want to start my first clickbank product off with a bang with a big competition. This is a make money online style, how to drive traffic ebook. I'm going to follow a similar format that I have seen here and give away $1000 in prizes, top 3 people earn a prize! 1st place(minimum 50 sales): $500 2nd place(minimum 30 sales): $300 3rd place(minimum 20 sales): $200 Refunds will not count in total amount of sales. I am offering a 75% commission on this product, so you will receive a whopping $35.25 per sale! The product you will be selling is called Traffic Overlord. It's at http://www.trafficoverlord.com. You can check out our affiliates page for several banners and other images that you are free to use. You can use any images on our site in any way to promote the site. Your hoplink is : http://AFFILIATE.jcooper56.hop.clickbank.net Of course your going to want to replace AFFILIATE with your own unique ID name. If you have any questions let me know, the contest starts TODAY and ends May 7th!
I googled your book and the 2nd result is the download page http://www.trafficoverlord.com/thankyou.html
Not sure why it's indexed, but that download page won't work anyway. The only way it will work is if they have actually paid. But how can I get rid of that?
No, theres an actual affiliate page. http://trafficoverlord.com/affiliates.html Apparently it needs to be updated because we're giving 75% commission not 50%, I can't fix it right now but I will shortly.
50 sales minimum?????? That's a rather daunting goal for a new product. I realize that you want to finance the "prize" with actual sales - that's understandable - but wow. And what if one guy sells 52 units and another guy sells 51 units? Seems like guy #2 should get $500, too, b/c he has financed his "prize," too. I'm trying to take the devil's advocate position here and help you look at this from different angles.
I understand your reasoning. However the affiliates will already be making a lot of money if they hit 50 sales. This is just an extra incentive. I put the minimums just above the finance, because thats what I have seen everyone else do.
I know plenty about affiliate marketing itself, so I resent that. I may be new to Clickbank publishing but I've got everything setup properly and I'm trying to run a good contest, so your comments are a moot point.
I believe it is reasonable for affiliates to expect their publisher they are essentially working for has the knowledge and skill to provide them with the know-how and tools they need to succeed. Having your thank you page listed on search engines is definitely setup properly - lol. Also your affiliate materials are minimal, at best.
The thankyou page isn't setup to allow them to just go to it and download, it's not giving out free copies of the book or anything. What else would you like to see for affiliate tools and I'll get them made.
Just take a look at the top performing programs and give affiliates every tool you possibly can. http://www.reversephonedetective.com/affiliates/affiliates.html is a good example. Articles, PPC materials, LPs, banners, etc..
Alright, will do. I appreciate the feedback, sorry for jumping back at you at first. I really do want to provide quality products for the affiliates so I will get to work on that right now. It will be done within the week. In the meantime though, any affiliates that have their own materials go ahead and start promoting. If I get a large enough response, I will run more contests and start sending out bonuses.
* Sales page - too short * No social proof * No case studies/testimonials/reviews * No actual 'you will learn x,y and z' list/features/benefits ease of use to customers.... (Good tease but you should include at least a part of the curriculum, maybe even something like "Meet Joe, Joe has a website that lacks traffic, Joe grabbed my system, put the first modules into practice and look at Joe's traffic stats two weeks later ((pic of stats here))...). Examples work well. * Affiliates materials - as advised - overdeliver. * Graphics are good however the whole pitch/approach still seems a bit of a coldcall style, try to get personal with peoples problems, plateau's, usual scenario's and how you/your system will address them. Use more than words (pics, stats, graphs, proof, money, pie-charts, flash demo, audio file - more than words...) * Take a good look at your competitors and notice the formula re sales pages and elements that equate to conversions, you're missing a good half if not more. Hope you take this constructively, and best of luck with your contest and prog. N.
NCMedia, I am most definitely going to take that constructively. In fact we're already working on the tweaks. Thanks for taking your time to check it out. webpros21 - Great! You can get a head start on the contest. In the coming week look for a better page and more affiliate tools.
