So in a few months from now, I will have around $2,000 dollars to upstart some kind of project, whether it be an ad-revenue site, or some kind of affiliate thing. I was curious as to what the people on DP think about a good first project. Keep in mind I am looking for ideas to lead me into more projects or a long term money generating one, not a one shot deal.
Well, you can start with CPA marketing and google adwords with that. at least i would have done that if i were you. But get some info and read whatever you can about CPA marketing and google adwords first and then taste the water..
There are many FREE methods of IM. Why wait, just start now, to get your feet wet and gain a little experience. Then when you have the money, you can have a better idea of what you want to do and invest it in.
what about "paid to forum project"here you can separate 3 membership types with different privacy and I think only this the fastest way to get "active update with no direct action to do
You can do both actually. The important thing is to get started. Put up a website. Fill it up with keyword rich quality content. Then promote it to social marketing sites for backlinks. Have you had any ideas on your target niche yet? Or you can start with affiliates. Have you applied to CPA networks? There are several options available online. Once you determine which strategy works for you best, concentrate on that then repeat the process. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
Learn learn learn before you do anything. Affiliate marketing can and always will be really lucrative but you have to know what you are doing first. Don't think that you will make money just because you have money to spend. Save the 2000 and pay rent while you build a great site or 2.
I have a sister that has started her own business a few times and runs them all now. She makes great money. I am sure she can lead you in the right direction with what you are looking for. She also does graphic design too if you are in need of that type of service. her web page is www. silentpen .com
Yes you can start now. If you don't have money for a website create a blog. More than reading it is important to talk to wise (not just experienced ) people who are helpful. There is an offer to speak to a lady who owns wwwsilentpencom you could take it up. Once your $2000 is in you can spend it in small blocks so that returns also flow in. Don't spend the whole amount and wait for returns.
Bear in mind that having money on the Internet doesn't shoot your site above other sites that don't have money. You can easily start a site with less than $50 if you know how to design it. You will only have to purchase the domain and hosting.
I have dabbled in a lot of things, but only dabbled. The money would mainly go towards investing into adwords or an seo professional. I'm not really asking what to do with the money, just what do you (the dpf members) think is a good project to really invest yourself into. A site with ad revenue? Clickbank or other affiliate groups? Making a product to publish on a site even. I know most of these are perfectly good ways to make a return, I just want to know where you guys think is a good place to start.
There are lots of great sites that are free and you can earn commission off of them if you upgrade the benefit is you get a bigger commission.
if you decide to go into ppc marketing and paid search, be sure to do your share of studying first. one can come in with $2000 to spend and burn it up very fast without turning a positive profit without knowing what they are doing...
