I started a website related to soccer wallpapers. It is a major site and have very good collection of soccer wallpapers. I started it in february. I submitted it in all major search engines including yahoo and google. It is coming in yahoo on first page if you search with these words ''soccer wallpapers'' . But it is not in google search if you search with these words. i checked almost 16 first pages of google but it is not coming in search. and i did not get even 1 visitor. but i got several visitors from yahoo and these visitors are from USA. can you tell me what is problem with google and is it included in google??? if yes then why it is not coming on first pages?? please help. my soccer site is in my signature. Just subbmit your site to google is not enough, you need more backlinks with "Soccer Wallpapers" anchor text....sometimes it takes a time to have good positions.
Your a lil impatient. Get some relevant back links and wait a little while, you should get listed... Good Luck
your site is less than 2 months old and the term you are targetting has 12k+ searches as of March 2009 on Google. your current Yahoo ranking for the same term is #7. so far google shows only 1 backlink from DP and Yahoo shows 300+ backlinks. all the backlinks i see on yahoo are actually sitewide links on another wallpaper site which doesn't help you in terns of ranking on Google. what you need is some link building and good quality relevant backlinks to get ranked well for your term on Google
You can trade other webmasters links or buy select ones and just hope the people that do find your site link you and promote you on other sites....
it's not 'top' because in the opinion of google, there are other sites that are more 'important' than your site. You can raise googles understanding of your 'importance' with backlinks, and more unique content.
