Hey folks!! Like many of you on the block, I am a PHP coder. I am a hard core coder! So what am I doing here? Why am I writing here? Well I have recently been analyzing my own performance in the field of SEO, and I think I have done a decently. Here is a proof of a website i started back in last august! Okay, this just talks of the website from december. Believe me the stats were even worse before that. Okay, so what have I learned in the last 1 year that I have been struggling to make websites that people notice? Well the first and the foremost that I MUST say is, hard work! Hard work has been the key to my "so called" success. I am not sure how you guys react to this traffic, but its about 250 unique visitors on a daily basis, with about 85% average organic SEO traffic, spread over 4,620 keywords. I guess I am doing a decent job . Well all the pages of my website that I present in the sitemap are crawled by google. And yes, yahoo is also sending quite a bit of traffic to my website. Okay, not further to hard work, I cannot stress enough the importance of good genuine content. The content is VERY important. Having genuine content will give your website that life that it deserves. Copied content gets the punishment alright... So remember, simply add genuine content. Its vital!! Apart from that inter-linking is also very important. These seem to be very simple day to day seo tips, but believe me, it works like a charm!! Okay I guess I am tired writing on the post. I will be continuing to write on my blog also. www.fishnetwebmarketing.com. Come and visit me. Probably you can comment me there . I will post a url of the post once I make that. Hope this serves as atleast an inspiration for the noobs, struggling to get on the top of rankings. Remember, I started off when supposedly, the internet marketing was getting too tough!! All the best guys!!
Copied (duplicate) content gets the punishment? Can you provide some details on how it has been punished, as everything coming out of Google now suggests duplicate content is at worst ignored...
Any tips on getting that many unique visitors daily? My site, www.cheapdanny.com is struggling these days with less than 150 and it's over 1 year old. Thanks!
I really appreciate your honest experience sharing. basically people brag about tons and tons success stories but when you digg hard you find them no where near to claim they make. To me it's a good (real good) progress, considering the fact that you are not a pro-seo and may find it hard to spare time for SEO, promotions and so on. All you learn and apply the right technique which is very much important. I too archived a lot (I now own 3 authority sites ) but never discounted the learning curve. Congratulations mate and wish you all success with your website.
Thanks guys!! I am not too worried about ppl who don't consider an achivement. I do consider it to be a decent traffic. I am sure it would be a great road ahead. More sites to come. Building about 50 of them now. With PHP skills, I am able to play nicely with Google. Will be starting a private club (99% free) to share my tools. Lets see .
i get 10,000 uniq per day visitor in 1 year and i am to good in seo your work is also good but you have to do more hard work site : tiptopmovie.com see my site visitor tracker : http://extremetracking.com/open?login=tiptopm
That's pretty good, its nice to see your successes and to know you were on the right track. Congratulations.
That's quite acheivable with some more efforts. since you know the importance of genuine content, i would suggest you to go and get some agressive link building done for your site. You may see some improvement in your SERP and in turn your traffic.. I wish you a luck.
Thanks BHV for the great advice. Solid linkbuilding is something next on my mind. Though I have been doing something that you are good at (black hat ). Hopefully I should get a few strong back links soon. Have some BH stuff on my mind
Nice job trying to put someone's achievment down, and to think I was going to post my 2 bucks adsense earnings as an achievement, got to think twice about that I guess. The reality is 850 visitors per day for a two month site is not the norm for begiinners, heck when I first created a blog I wrote a few things and expected people pouring in, didn't know anything about SEO or traffic. Now I know a little bit and to get 850 visitors per day I know it will still take me sometime. Congratulations to mphpguru for your achievement, you give us beginners some hope for the future, people getting hundreds of visitors per day for a recent website, hey share the methods to get to that.
