You can use google webmasters website(www.google.com/webmasters/) to learn SEO, which is one of the best authoritative sites. __________________________________ Paul
the best way is practice man... no matter how many books you read, you will never learn till you actually experience it. Launch your own website or blog about something you like to talk about and submit it to all search engines, and from there just wait and see how it performs...
I believe that you need to learn main definations and get started for your own and then ask questions as you go
i suggest you to join any company, i mean to say join as a trainee in any seo based company for 4 to 6 months you will get your answer.
try as much as possible to provide backlinks for your website. Commenting on this forum will greatly help you
It's probably self-promotion, but I've written a beginner's guide to keywords and SEO which tells you the basics of how to use keywords on your website and also shows you samples of coding for meata tags, h1 tags, alt tags etc. Beyond that, get a mixed selection of incoming links to your website (with varied anchor tect) from sources such as forum postings, blog comments, directories, social bookmarking (eg squidoo, oyax, mixx, digg etc - careful you don't just spam them or you'll get banned), article submissions such as ezine, press releases and - if you can - 1 way links fro other web sites. Links from related sites - or high pr sites - are best.
Just search in this forum and you will learn a lot, at least as a good starting point. Also you can make more specific questions and people will gradly explain you.
Hi, Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results. Typically, the earlier a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines.
