Anything whether it it is twitter, facebook, it is going to help you only if you get targeted traffic. There is no meaning in exchaning twitters, you are only increasing your followers' count, but i guess nobody wants that unless and until twitter pays you for that
Its good enough possible to get upto 50 followers. but after that you need to be active on twitter with regular updateds.

The problem with being rush in getting tons of followers is you will get followers who also want you to follow them. Therefore, it's more of a follow exchange sites. The bigger problem is they may also be selling products like you do. It's just almost impossible that you buy each others product. Well, that is if you are a social blogger who just want many followers...
Nothing...but just like I said, you can hardly find potential customer for your product since they are most likely selling too. The things is, one should choose carefully before he follow someone. Otherwise, you are just using it as a social site. Not for business purposes, that is.
Aahh, that's true. I'd assume it's hard to find potential customers on twitter. And you're right about the social part, never thought of it like that. Currently, I just use twitter for my own personal use but I think I might set one up for my business soon.
To be honest, even if your Twitter followers WHERE mildly interested in what you had to offer, how on earth do you sell to them? It would be like "Adwords"-style blasts of short posts over and over. It will get old. Personally I think the whole twitter craze is just another fad where at the end of the day the numbers on your page will flash brighter than the one in your PayPal account.

Exactly. Many people appear to be viewing twitter as a pure numbers game, but you can have thousand upon thousands of followers, and if they aren't actually interested in what you have to offer, it's a great big waste of time.
