I checked the pr of my site - http://www.171english.cn today. To my surprise, the pr of my site has disappeared. It becomes N/A now. And what's more, no backlinks are found from Google.(link:www.171english.cn) But in my google webmaster tools, the backlinks still exist. What's wrong?
maybe just a google updating happening - happened to my PR 5 sites before too ... but recovered in a few days. If your site is of quality, and didnt do anything wrong agt the TOS, you dont have to worry.
It happens to one or two of my sites quite often. Their homepages bounce between PR 3 and N/ A every few weeks. Wait a while and see if the PR comes back.
what are you using to check the PR of your site? if you are using google toolbar then i suggest you use an alternative pr checker...
Yahoo is still reporting over 25,000 backlinks. Just give it time, and scan your site over for duplicate content.
I have two subdomains(http://myenglish.yi.org, http://elt.008.net) which refer to the same host as http://www.171english.cn The prs of the former two subdomains are pr 4 respectively while the latter domain dropped to N/A.I'm not sure if that is the reason.
may be some kinda penalty or temporary ban...ask yourself if u have done something illegitimate. link farms , excessive cross linking etc
Sounds like your PR got penalised, but still I could be wrong. Maybe its because of the current PR update. Wait for a few days more.
May be you done any wrong activities...Again Work on your site...you will get Good PR on next updates..
Looks like a duplicate content penalty, I've seen it on one of our sites as well. I might be wrong -- check within a week or so if the PR is back. How do those 2 subdomains point to the original site? 301 redirects? ~pG
Same w/ me i got an old blog, last update i got pr4 and 3 days after got pr1. Maybe the reason is i change my site to a blog w/ one content only.
PR penalty may be the cause of google suspicious about your site involving in any link farming or structure. also check your neiborhood, if it has got any problems.
