    Hi to all DP members again.
    I just want to ask this question in my mind.
    I just wondering if I will get a little boost on SERP if I will put a meta keywords on my site.

    Or thus Google dont really care about meta keywords,I heard Yahoo cares about meta keywords.

    If Google cares about it, thus seperating your keywords by comma will make any difference in SERP?I asked this because my friend keep telling me that comma or without comma on meta keywords Google dont really care about it as long as the keywords is there they doesn't really matters.

    example

    Site A:
    <meta name="keywords" content="keywords1 keywords2 keywords3 keywords4 ">

    Site B:
    <META name="keywords" content="keywords1, keywords2, keywords3">

    Also if you can comment about the effect on these on Yahoo SERP, please do so.Thanks for your time again.

    The meta keyword tag has no effect on Google. It also have virtually no effect (maybe even no effect) on Yahoo. And if it does affect Yahoo, the effect is so small it won't play into the rankings of competitive or semi-competitive terms.

    It has minimal effect. You should still use it though.

    Hi stymiee, I read about your articles on SP.
    And I like it very much.Thanks for the reply stymiee.
    If the meta keywords has no effect on Google why anyone want to spend time for creating such meta keywords?
    I know that meta keywords dont really affect my SERP.But sometimes I have doubt in my mind why these are happening.

    My site is not ranking anymore on Yahoo that's why I'm finding ways on what should I do.

    Off-topic question: Do you know any articles about Yahoo SEO that will be useful for me?

    as stated before..meta keywords play no effect in google..or yahoo..although excite and search.com (I believe) ARE meta keyword SE's..as well as many other's. So yes, you still want to have meta keywords on your site (its a must in my opinoin because it cant hurt)...also i do my keywords like this keyword1 , keyword2 , keyword3...etc..but i dont think it really matters

    From what I’ve red all over the net meta keywords won’t help your site any so adding them is up to you. I would add meta description so that it has a nice intro in serps. :D

    It might help in the minor search engines which have an ancient algorithm.

    The amount of time you have spent posting on this thread is far more than the amount of time it takes to create a meta keywords tag.

    the meta description has more effects in search engine and it helps to use your main keywords in them rather than a grammatical description of your site
