Sec. 14.b.1 effectively gives the Sec. Commernce full access if he wants it to large/systemic/"too big to fail" companies/industries. They will have the ability to probe/monitor network traffic and any spying can be excused with the justification that they were testing network security. The government has not proven to be a trustworthy shepard against abusing power.

Sec. 5.b.5 gives him carte blanche to spy on private networks from smaller companies (though not necessarily to force small business to give him access).

McCain was told by his party to loose. This was one big conspiracy starting from the Bush years. The republicans would control the White House for eight years and then the democrats for 8 years. That is why I am 100% sure that Obama is going to win a second term. This has all been planned.

Call us paranoid but when your intranet is shut down because old man Obama thinks you are a threat to National Security, then we'll see who's laughing.

I was listening to the Alex Jones refeed last night and he brought this up. He specifically brought up Jay Rockefeller lamenting the creation of the internet.
This is another example of AJ making a mountain out of a mole hill and his followers passing it on.

That doesn't mean I like the bill, just that the Rockefeller piece of it is for kooks.

For the most part I think the governments should stay the f's off our internets.

Do you seriously listen to Jones? Doesn't that make you more of a nutjob than myself since I don't?

Nope. ATS is my conspiracy corner.

I have a feeling you're gonna dabble in it too long and get educated.

I'll read ATS if you read the Randi forums, specifically the conspiracy theory forum. There's a current thread there called "Whats the harm?: Conspiracy theorist shoots up police officers."

BTW, I was relieved when I heard the Pittsburgh shooter's name was Richard.

I don't oppose critical thinking, especially when it comes to conspiracies. I certainly don't "buy" much of what comes out of ATS, (I check the top threads on the forums each day), but I find it a relief from "ordinary" news that doesn't care to report things people might be interested in.

The only reason I choose ATS is because they advertise on C2C AM. What makes Coast special is the way they run their program, interviewing guests specialized on a variety of alternative/odd topics you're not likely to hear anywhere else with as big an audience as it. Sure, 80% of the time I'm laughing at what the guests are saying, but there are gold nuggets that make it worth it - like the guest that will be on Wednesday night. I certainly agree though the conspiracy world needs more critical thinkers willing to challenge rumors that benefit their agenda.

As far as the Pittsburgh shooting, I find how mainstream news is reporting it is absolutely ridiculous. I was checking a lot of news sources when it first happened, since I live so close, a lot of the stories contradicted each other. One dared to say he "opposed Zionist agenda" but later in the story said he "voted for John McCain".

If you're seriously going to blame conspiracy theories on the death of these cops, then you should also be blaming money for bank robberies.

btw, this looks exactly like the kind of forum I was looking for.

Anyone who has some sense can clearly see that Obama was not elected. The Republican party and the Democrat party both played this one well. The Republicans sent McCain against Obama knowing full well he was going to loose.

No one in the Republican party criticized Obama on his policies not even McCain himself. Obama knew by April that he was a shoe in for the White House. Read the polling data as well as the Republican strategy and you can clearly see that both sides played this well and duped the voters into voting for Obama.

Maybe it was payback for the 8 years Bush spent in the White House.

Yeah, because I don't buy into all that uber conspiracy theorist crap.

The reason crap goes back and forth is because people get tired of one thing, so they go to the other. Thats what we call moderates.

Do have a better explanation of why McCain made an ass out of himself on the campaign trail and as soon as he lost he bagan to hammer Obama? He is one of Obama's worst critics in the senate now.

Why didn't he do that when he was running. He intentionally played the ass so he would loose.

Just because McCain didnt resort to trash talking Obama like Obama did to the GOP, doesn't mean there is a huge conspiracy about elections. Put your tin foil hat back on and hang some more coat hangers from your cieling.

    Ever heard about "October surprise"?

Did you ever read about how the financial crisis started?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_financial_crisis_of_2008–2009

Isn't it ironic that all the bad news was released just a few weeks prior to the election? Plus what abour Soros and his involvement in not only the 1997 Asian crisis but this current crisis.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/...politicians-over-global-financial-crisis.html

All I'm saying is that people knew about this from a long time. Not the general public but those in the financial institutions and government.
