If I want to post a youtube video on my blog, Do I have to ask persmission to the video creator or can I just embed the URL to my blog with no problem?

    Thanks

Well posting youtube vids on blogs and other sites seems actually encouraged.

I think you can just embed them. They'd likely would love the free promotion anyways.

The reason I asked is because I posted a Toby keith video on my blog and when I tried to play it it said embed removed by request, I assume this happened because the channel I got it from was from the actula recording studio, but average people making videos posting them on youtube and posting them on my blog wouldn't be a problem I hope.

That happens frequently with copy written material . There is nothing that you can do about it.
Best to try and use official channels, and other video sharing sites like VH1, or their Country Music Network that may actually have the official video.
Just about every site that offers video, allows embedding. You have 100's of options.

I use video all the time, but use You Tube the least because of that (frequently removed videos), and the quality of it's videos.
