I think you need to have more advertisement of your blog.If you want to do it by yourself then you can make videos and write more articles about the advantages of your blog.You can also do it offline sending all your friends a message and have them as addition to your traffic.If you have the budget then you can hire people to do advertising for you.
seems like he is one of those looking for high traffic returns with no time or investment...once your site is up, it can take months to years to get a flow of quality traffic to your site, and this depends if you are working everyday or asking questions like "how do i get traffic" if your time is not endless, and you do not have the patience, then do not bother at all..most will never get traffic much less make any money...I know one marketer that advertises online 24/7 so it seems, he claims he makes a good living doing this, but I think this would bore me to death if i had to stay online and post ads all day and most of the night. honestly, I just setup a small online shop (digital products) and sometimes I wonder this myself. I work for a living, and personally, I just do not have time to do everything listed above, its just not realisc right now, so i do understand where he is coming from, if the site is not making the dough, then its not paying the bills, right now, my real job pays the bills.
Blog commenting really works. It works for me. It just need a little bit of tactic. Reach the top commentator and you should get awesome return.
I wish i had the time to do it. I have even offer 0.20c per post (read sig) and even made a post in the content area...I would rather pay people to do this for me. I see a lot of posts about people wanting to make some money, but very few are taking me up on it. I guess in reality, people want money, but they actually do not want to work or do anything for it.
It is better to have your own domain and wordpress blog on your own server. It will have more potential of earning.

You can start with commenting on other blogs. Target those with high traffic / high PR. Also, submit to social bookmarking sites and take advantage of web 2.0 tools.
