Mysql Database via Fantastico

    Hello all,


    I am a newbie in this field. i have purchased a domain and hosting on webhostingpad, little confuse on the below point

    1) Is thier is need to create Mysql DB after doing automatic wordpress installtion via fantastico

    or

    it is automatically created

    2)if a DB is already created is it automatically connect to the existing Mysql database

    Please reply to my query

    You need to create a db and an username BEFORE wp install not after

    If you install Wordpress from Fantastico, you do not need to create MySQL database and database user. It will create them automatically.

    Their was an issue with the MX entry at server side that'y it was not going correctly.

    Ultimately it went fine

    The MX records are for mail exchange. IMO that has nothing to do with wordpress installation.

    as my site DNS entry was not corrected, so while doing installation, i was not getting correct result, after this correction after installtion WP via fantastico , DB & user was created automatically.
