Hi guys I deleted sitemap of my blogspot blog because it disappeared suddenly from google index and resent new one different to the first and that was 1 april 2009 before page rank update and now my site posts return to be indexed but with the same number of the first map and i lost alot of my backlnks and then there was no update on my rank my question is will google update me as soon as new sitemap updated or no and i will stay with my rank to the next update ?????????????????
Your Page Rank will not be updated until the next update. Well... if you left the url of your sitemap the same, then it won't matter and you'll get updated normally. Now your sitemap doesn't need to be ranked. It just needs to be indexed. type in: info:www. yourdomain.com/ yoursitemapaddress. If it shows up as being cached you are all good. Truthfully... you don't even need a sitemap. Google will follow your links automatically.
I don't think there is a relation between sitemap and pagerank. Sitemap helps crawler to obtain the all the links of your web site and that help in indexing your page in search engine. Kailash
yes u need to work hard, upload new xml sitemap and get decent back link and wait for next update at end of june
Not problem for it.. and also sitemap is not related to PR.. just tell google to index allpages of urs site
well, now u are locked with ur current page rank. just install new sitemap and make sure u submit back in google webmaster tools.. next update should have been fine, it's just sitemap, ur actual pages are still around and they can be still indexed, use "related posts" plugins, so that u have stronger internal linkage.
Sitemaps have nothing to do with giving your site PR. Toolbar PR won't update for another 3-4 months no matter what you do (unless you sell links, and then you might get a manual adjustment down).
the relationship is sitemap will acknowledge of newly added pages activities. it helps search engine bots to access effectively and also update the sitemap.xml by timely manner, consequently getting your site to get indexed pretty quickly.. therefore, you might get listed asap in SERPs and subsequently you get new hits from organic search as soon as possible. it's important for those who are keep up to date with particular topic.. you don't want to see thw news on TV.. just your cell phone rss reader or even your inbox would be more accessible to read whatever you are following... 10 years ago, we subscribe mailing list to get particular topics, now the trend has changed and we need to make use of effective methods, such as sitemap.. if you are google alert user, you will know how critical your blog has to be indexed earlier than other bloggers. it's race against time...
