They won't change. Muhammad (prophet of Islam) did it too, when he was 54 he consumed the marriage with a 9 year old girl Aisha (at least that's what she says in the Hadith). Whatever Muhammad did is considered Divine from muslims.

Based on what I understand the video the 8 year old girl is not really with the old guy until puberty, but como'n even she will 12 years old(most puberty age) it's still too young for her to get married.

I think that is just plain and simply wrong. How can her parents allow this but then again they the ones that follow these arrangements.

Why Islam defends this? Where are the imam protesters? Over stupid cartoons over 120 people died in violence, but over a child abuse and molestation that are common in muslim countries they are nowhere to be seen.
