    Try AVast anti virus.

    Thats pretty good. Even i am using that. it works well. :)

    Not sure about life time free but almost all of them offers 3-4 weeks trial period.

    There are no lifetime "free" anti-virus app's ! Today you can get it for free, tomorrow you'll need to pay for it - no one knows when your "free" version will become "paid" :)

    Avast is free for lifetime as you need to just renew your free membership each year. Its Avast 4.8 Home Edition.

    Not good for viruses but its good for us (its antivirus) :D

    I am using it since long time alongwith zonealarm and they protect me from viruses,trojans etc.

    Not as good as it should be ! If you know what PPI means, I scanned one file with Avast and it returned zero results ( PPI file is a big trojan ) :(

    I have no antivirus software which is free but it is available for montly basis.
    It is the only QUICK HEAL which is best anti virus software and validate for one month free.
    You have to update every month.

    Yeah i have got the avg lifetime virus.Download a free trial,put the key from seriall.com But make sure u donot download the virus itself because the site is full of spywares.

    use a good firewall like "zone alarm" ( free version ) and a free antivirus.. u will be as much safe as any commercial antivirus..

    i use zonealarm security suite for few years alredy with no problems..

    Are you talking about PowerPoint file :confused:

    I am saying Avast is safe because few times its given me warning signal when i am trying to open few sites which carries trojan.
