Is there any problem with submitting all my posts in my blog to digg?
Will they penalize me for submitting only my contents?

    please clear my doubts..thanks

It's likely you will receive some sort of penalty once they catch on. You could trade Diggs or better still just submit your better material.

You can, however I have to say that:

    a) should you do it? It's should be other people (your visitors) the ones submitting your pages to Digg.

and, b) either way, if you insist on submitting them yourself don't do too many submissions at a time. They will detect this and ban your site from Digg due to spamming.

I do submit all my new posts to digg.com. I have read the guidelines, it doesnt specify any reason why you can't do it. As per rule, you can submit any article only ones and it should not be duplicate of any other articles.

Remember submitting to Digg.com is bringing your blog quality backlink, so why you should stop it. My blog which is less than 2 months old has Page Rank of 3 because of such bookmarking sites. But yes, you should go to other blog and digg other stories, so it doesn't look all spammy submitting only your post to digg.

this is what i got from digg "Submission spamming is different because it may be quality content but the submitter is "spamming" every story from their blog/site. While we welcome users to submit their own content, overdoing it often incites the users to mark the user as a spammer, the site as a spam site, and otherwise decent content as blogspam."

so i think its better to avoid submitting all our posts to digg by ourselves. Or mix it up with other stories from different sites along with ours.

In a combination with other well known sites could actually work. But I would rather not try.

I have been banned before, for "spamming" I have a feeling that they may have a set or floating rule that they dont tell the public about with regard to what is "over the line"

Best to avoid submitting all your articles, however you could submit 1 or 2 and see how other Digg Users respond to that.

There is really no point to submitting ALL of your posts to Digg. First of all it will come off as spamming, unless you are also submitting other content in a variety of subjects, from different sources. Your account needs to appear well rounded to get anyone to notice you and have a chance of getting voted up.

Second, the Digg community responds well to Humor, Breaking News, New Information (especially Technology), and Gossip (Celebrity Junk).
While it will give you a link (of little weight), your main point on Social Bookmarking sites should be a little more than just another weak link, you want other people to see, vote, and mention your article on their sites and blogs..those links really count for something ! If all you are doing is just marking your blog posts it will be obvious and people will stop paying attention real fast....everyone does that.

I normally bookmark the articles when know I have beaten everyone to the punch, or have original information, maybe 2 Diggs a week.(and I might post 12 times that week.)

If you are using word press, a decent ping list set in your options already alerts various sources that you have updated, so your articles are already indexed and if they are SEO properly and the subject is getting searches ( and competition is not astronomical from authority sources), it will come up in the serps...that's why log tail works better in headlines.

You also have to understand that all bookmarking sites have different personalities, and Digg is certainly not the only game in town. I have gotten great traffic spurts that lasted days from Mixx, Facebook, Forums (when others have posted up a link to a story), Fark, My Space (even though I freakin' hate My Space)...but all for different subjects...all of them are not good for every subject.

The best way to the maximum benefit from bookmarking is to either actually build a rounded profile of differing content and throw in a link or 2 from your own sites every now and then, or buy software that does it for you.

I know you are talking about for links, and I am talking about traffic, but traffic gets you links if the content is good, and if you actually do break a story or post something truly informative, other people will link to you. Big time weight ! and Nice Traffic !

After all the goal is getting people to click ads, or buy something..if you think in terms of great content and traffic first, the link love comes naturally.

IOW, use it sparingly, don't spam it with every post because every post is not spectacular (I know all of mine aren't). Save it for the really good ones, and use other services..Yahoo Buzz, Mixx, Reddit, Twitter, and so one...you don't have to bookmark every article in each one, spread the love around.

    Hi,

Digg is a very good way to get traffic. their are number of bookmarking sites viz Mixx, reddit, technorati, fark, stumpleupon etc... where you can submit article.

submit your article in different bookmarking site to get traffic all though the article will be same on all place. This will target different traffic of those site. :)

    Regards,
