What kinda numbers are you guys pulling from your lander to the product? My landers aren't the best, but they're decent.. And my clickthrough rate to the product is woefully low - think 9-10% or so. I'm considering redirecting straight to the product for now until I tweak them to look better. Thoughts?
10% is waaay low. I can usually manage at least 50%. Any less and you're losing more than half your traffic, so you're wasting more than half your effort. You're wasting 9/10ths of your effort... you've gotta boost that CTR! Maybe you could post the URL of one of your landers and people could give you some suggestions. About direct linking... it is tempting, but I'm a strong believer in the power of a presell. That's something you don't get from a direct link, and in my experience it helps tremendously with affiliate marketing.
yeah, last month i averaged about 55% ... it could be your landers ... but it could also be the quality of the traffic you are getting to those landers ... i would try to improve both if possible, depending obviously on where your traffic comes from
Agreed... 10% is way to low... Don't direct link, take this opportunity to split test different ideas and learn. Try to get 50% +... Without seeing your lander we can't make qualified comments on it, but some of us here regularly enjoy 55-65% CTR from the get go. And I can tell you that what works on one page may not work on the next, so you really have to test your copy / above-below fold options and even color and font... And of course start with qualified traffic.
I'm pushing trislim right now Here is one of the landers http://losestomachfatreview.blogspot.com/ Originally I just made a throwaway blog lander that I'd be replacing with something better, but haven't really gotten around to it. Somethings I think I should improve: -Obviously a better header. I threw that one together in MSpaint in 3 minutes -Stronger lead sentence -Less "wall of text" style and look -Better transition to the link What do you guys think? I don't think the quality of my traffic is an issue - It's fairly laser targeted - Comes from clickthroughs of my articles (which do very well in clickthrough %) Let me know..
You don't even have a single link above the fold! (I'm on 1024x768). - the image is too big - why is it clickable to the blog? - no use of bolds, highlights or colors in the text. - banners are notoriously bad for click throughs. - use text links instead - have frequent text links throughout the text. Look at this as an example. It's a dynamic lander I made for my affiliates: http://www.ejaculationsupremacy.com/xxx/review.htm It does everything I'm talking about.
Thanks for the tips bro, I'll definitely implement those when I make a new lander Anyone else? The more info the merrier.
Make sure that the website is clear, the promotion is clear and that they're not swayed from clicking on the product link.
If you are using article marketing, I don't see why a redirect doesn't make sense in many cases... the article should be pre-selling the product. The only downside is you lose the ability to add to your list by offering something free for an opt-in.
