i know, i know, sorry man. you put that really good post together too. but don't worry, i did come up with some good clever ways to get the word out about my website...and they are free. i'm on a low budget here. but i have a guy who is interested in a bi-weekly service. so interest is picking up. i think the biggest factor in my success will be 1 thing. persistence.
At a charge of $ 100 per hour it is obvious that your housecleaners are a premium service. A SEO optimised website is not going to work as you will have all and sundry landing on your website. You'll have to first locate at least a few persons who are interested in this service. (Many affluent families are not going to look at your website.) Advertisements in local papers may work. Use the website as an information provider. I'm sure some of the girls sing? You could advertise for singing housecleaners, that would be acceptable to many families.
what? i'm not sure why you guys think i'm trying to target families. i'm going for single men. or guys that are married, but want to take credit for cleaning the house when the wife is gone
Sounds like a perfect business for viral videos. Why not get a video ad made (see sig) and get people blogging about it.
I know a few housewives that hire handymen just because of they work with their shirts off. Not too dissimilar.
