What happened to my pagerank..

Hi !!

Today when i checked pagerank for mydomain.com it shows 4 ... But when i check it with www.mydomain.com. it shows 0.. what happened to this.. please help..

 

It happened with my blog also, when I checked with www it was 1 but without www it was 3

But after leaving it for few hours now with and without www both are 3

 

PR is updating since yesterday I think. Perhaps it is not yet finished.

 

So, will it get changed to pr 4.. for both www and without www Or will it loose its pagerank..

 

Diddo, My PR is all over the place. It depends on which google server is giving me the ranking.

 

If you have strong backlinks, then your PR4 will retain after the final dance of google pr update...and it is possible to loose it too.

 

when i check my sites w/ www, it's same w/o www.

 

This issue with pagerank for with and w/o www happened yesterday.. Before that it was fine.. it showed pr 4..

When this google update ends..

 

What actually happened is that you did not made your mind up which version you are going to use of your website when you build it in first place (and when you builded links).

www. and non-www are completely two different URLs just as www.mydomain.com and www.mydomain.com/index.html are two different URLs, so the PR juice has gone to the one that received most of the links.

 

The google update will go on a for a little while yet, at the lst update, things were still changing after 3 - 4 days. I hope this helps

 

If you're using webmaster tools be sure to let Google know they are both the same.
