Can someone get me out of Yahoo's doghouse?

I have a really old site that Yahoo decided was spam, around a year and a half ago. Yahoo indexes my pages, but won't display them as search results. Truth is, my site isn't spam, never has been. The site has roughly 6k static .htm pages that have been around since 1996.

I emailed Yahoo, they keep telling me they can't disclose the specifics but they will look into it. Well, months have passed, and my site still won't rank in Yahoo, but it does well in google.

So, question is.. can I hire someone to help sort this problem out for me? I don't want SEO, just looking to hire the person who knows the industry a lot better than I.

Thanks for the advice and or service offer.
Please, do not pm me your services for SEO, I want to hire you to get me out of this Yahoo situation only.

I have previously had websites in Yahoo's doghouse too. It does take a long time for them to reinstate a website. I don't know if there is a way to really speed up the process. I think you just have to be patient and keep up your seo as normal. It may help if you get more quality links.

I know it's no conolation but it's actually quite common - once Yahoo decide a domain is rubbish it's really hard to rank any of its content again. If you've got the money then the Yahoo directory can help speed a review up a bit.

The only other quick fix that may work would possibly be to move the content to a new domain and 301 it. Not sure how Yahoo would react to that though.

Thanks for the info, I've got a couple pm's from people saying they can help, so I'm hopeful.

Moving to a new domain isn't an option since the site is so old and google does like it.

I think yahoo is junk anyway for traffic . I am rank # 1 for my keyword there and #10 with google for the same keyword and I still get 5 times more hits from the big G.

My advice is to make a perfect post with proper English if you're looking for this type of work.
I posted, "writer wanted" on craiglist.org and if anyone send me something like what you wrote, I wouldn't even bother looking at their CV. -Just my 2 cents

Unlucky. Don't worry though: if it's doing well in google, that's all that matters really.

Their poor customer service is just another nail in their coffin. No wonder Yahoo has fallen behind google so much.

Yahoo matters a little but definitely not as much as Google. BTW are you pud from AdBrite? Just asking.

Funny, I find my english decent and my above post rather clear. I'm not looking for work at all, I'm looking to hire someone to solve my problem.

I'm in a similar situation. If you can referrer me to person who is helping you with it, it'll be much appreciated
