    Hey all,

I've has my site up for a year now, and I'm still getting pretty shoking results!

    http://www.whatcracksmeup.com

I've got a bounce rate of around 50-60% (over the last 2 months). With average page views around 4-5.

Most of my traffic comes from the keyword "funny things" on google. Thats actually nearly all my traffic. I get around 100 visits/day and around 70 of them are from "funny things" on google.

So here's my question... Why do you think people "hate" my site haha

Please take a look, I really can't tell what I'm doing wrong!

    Nick Paul.

Nice site and the layout is also good. I think you missed the logo for your site.

This is truly a nice layout. The high bounce rate may be coming from ppl merely browsing as your keyword phrase is very broad(too generalized).

Here's a possible solution: Put some content somewhere above the fold -perhaps either right below top navigation, above the featured video at the top, or within the yellow box- explaining the service you offer. In other words, tell visitors exactly what you want them to do!

Also, switch the newsletter subscription form with the Google image block so the newsletter can be be highest. In this way, more visitors may be encouraged to signup (being that it will be higher above the fold) enabling you to do follow-up campaigns via autoresponder.

Awesome advice infopage!!! I'll make some changed today. Also 2advance lol I'll design a logo today haha guess I was a lil lazy!

Thanks for all the replies so far, I'll make some changes and let you know how it goes.

(I think you are spot on with the broad keyword topic infopage, looks like I'm going to have to work on some better keywords.)

I didn't mention this because I figured you were trying to increase conversions from the phrase you were already getting traffic from...but yes, being found for more targeted keywords would be ideal ;)

...and BTW: Thanx I'm only trying to help

First thing that caught my eye was the top logo thing - it looks like a cock sticking up.

Redesign your site to make it more technical / vibrant. It looks really dull right now.

Also, get your ads to be further down the page. I saw your emoticon one on the right hand side and instantly clicked off.

Hi, yes new logo, remove the ´sign up´ in the top and make round corners on your buttons in the top. it will look more proff especially because those white buttons is the first thing visitors sees on a dark background :)

Pay $20 on this forum to get a Photoshop created header that looks 'professional' if you want you site to be taken seriously.

Anybody agree with LeftSideBurn? Do you think I should get a new header?
