That "free submission" option hasn't even been functional in the past 7 years. I don't even think they know that field is still up there.
agree with the above comment ... i had too submitted for FREE in that way. now also its free to submit but only non-commercial sites accepted as free ... otherwise we need to pay yahoo for inclusion. i have paid to get few of my sites into yahoo dir too few months back
Yes, all of you are almost right. Yahoo won't list commercial sites in it's directory without paying for it. But, they do offer free indexing for some really out of usual non-commercial sites.
i agree with your view that for non-commercial site yahoo submission is free but for commercial purpose it is paid you need to pay the early yahoo dir charges.
Thanks teampower, i have added my site to the Asia directory. Weird that the copy right is out of date and it's still giving free listings while the U.S. one does not.
