my friend who owns www.dvd4ipod.com didnt open his site to affiliates during christmas. He's so skilled with adwords and overture that he did all the advertising himself. He's currently trying to sell the site over at www.eWealth.com. Anyways, the site doesnt look terrible. As you can imagine it sold like crazy during the christmas ipod craze.

Im currently making $x,xxx per pay period with www.digitalportrait.net (my CB site). I have no affiliates at the moment but am working with a super affiliate that is about to send me some 25-50 sales a night. Yall should try it, its converting great for me this summer.

You'd think we were on the slope of the rapid rise in blogging in the late 90s with all those links in your post ;p

I have never made a single commission from ClickBank for long years.

About two years ago my partner purchased a deal using my affiliate link just for testing purposes, and unless they track yourself via IP, they never accredited that commision :/

You can actually make purchases yourself through clickbank so perhaps you didn't pass the affiliate link properly? On the purchase screen, check to see if your affiliate id is in brackets at the bottom of the page.

ya i always test a link first. some cb sites are dishonest and give you a aff link that doesnt work by the time a customer gets to the order page. i just buy the product thru my aff link and see that it works, then forward my receipt to refunds at clickbank dot com

Have you caught any flak for the large number of refunds you're pulling?

no, apparently CB keeps an eye out for major refunders... but i have refunded like 25+ products to see if i liked them enough to promote, and my friend has refunded 100+, but neither of us have heard anything about it from CB... :)

Whoa I have never really tried clickbank, seeing the figures around here I am slowly thinking about giving it a go.

Who owns Clickbank by the way?

I would give Clickbank a go - it's free to join so you don't have to worry about getting your fingers burned.

When I first joined I didn't really put much effort into it and I still managed to make 3 sales from 1 product in 2 months - this was without trying to get targeted trafiic - I was buzzin when I looked back into my back office and saw these!

Sale pages, like his, convert well because they draw the customer into the buying process. Unlike other sites, a sales page has only one goal. This is why minimal to no other links are on the page, except for the buy link.
I wouldn't call it a crap site as he most likely intended on making it like this and didn't just stumble across something that converts.

It's true... Amazing how some of the crappiest looking sites actually end up being your best converters!

I have been CB'ing for a while now, doing 4 figures a month, and while I have some nice sites that convert with adwords, one of my best converters is a horrid looking site that does well with solo ads. Whowoodathot

ya, most people give CB and ppc a shot and give up right away, leaving HUGE opportunity for resilient people like me ;) to learn from mistakes and then earn lots!

check The IInside, the webmaster of that blog had a great experiment with Adwords and Clickbank with a maximum budget of $10 over 7 days. At the end he managed a profit of over $120.
