14000 clicks in March gave me only $500

I do manage many sites. Initially i was after general niche only but now i am diversifying to other niches.

One thing which i notice General Niche have much more CTR then high paying niches like health and tech.

My experience on tech niche is too bad i have about 100 uniques daily gives me only 2 clicks on average.

Tech niches are not worth the time unless you have a genuine passion for it. The "Ad Blind" factor is quite high, not to mention high usage of things like Adblock so ads are not even seen.

With regard to your your clicks/payment ratio, the only thing I can recommend would be to see if you can block some of the Ads (if using adsense) that don't look reliable or are landing pages (low $click usually).

 

one more thing i like to say ROI for me from General niches are much more then high paying niches.
I have spent too much on Health and Tech for unique articles and it have not even cover my domain cost till now after 6 months.

and for general celebrity niche what i did is bought the domain put 2 unique posts some pictures and after 5 days it starts giving me $1 per day.

For health and other niches i am finding very difficult to make real good traffic.

and ideas?

Those low pay niche such as general niche, games, entertainment can easily get traffic and the CTR is much higher compare to those high pay niche such as health, law etc. Therefore, if you doing high pay niche, you need to focus on the SEO and get some targeted traffic from popular forum related to your niche or yahoo answer, that's the only way

 

traffic is the key thats right,

i have been adding unique content regularly to high paying niches but traffic seems to still bad.

any one can tell the best way to increase traffic to blog that have good content but lacks visitors due to less time given for SEO

i will now start SEO for these sites just want to be selective in tems of best things to do

any recommendations???

I'd say most people would expect to be making $50-100 for every 1000 clicks.
Some people make more and some make less but your expectations should never be too high with this sort of thing.

dude i have done all this but i think natural traffic is all what counts.

i have seen many people says they make mini site and promote them but i would love if they reveal some important facts

 

Many web get good traffics but can't earn expected money. Now click revenue is down, I think. I read lot of money issues. anyway. earn while you promote.

 

People says general themes are not much good in paying good $$$. But i use to earn $1200 monthly from these sites which now makes $500 with same traffic.

People says recession and all blah blah i have also heard a theory says there is no Effect on the revenue of GOOGLE from rather revenue have increased in last 3 months.

That means GOOGLE is getting same but is cutting legs of publisher to fade the effects of recession.

Yahoo and MSN whoom i say coward need to jump in and try to establish balance in the monoply of Google.

 

15,000 clicks gave me $2650 in march from just one site. And this site is a general site just like yours. I don't know what to tell ya.

Maybe you're smart-priced, and don't know it ?

Cheer up mate, That is not too bad. Others get ~$250 for those 14000 clicks!

 

From start Adsense is not my main earning area, i use to earn alot more from my SEO company then adsense. But seeing many guys i also put my hands in adsense but i think i am not satisfied with ROI from adsense.

I used to easily earn in $7k to $10k figures from my SEO company as the recession has hit my SEO business also and there is small down slop in my earnings so i am putting more efforts in adsense to gain that loss.


People says about smart pricing and all that. I checked my June July and Aug stats of 2008. and i was surprised to see following.

June 2008 20,354 clicks $701.40

July 2008 38,133 clicks $1,124.21

Aug 2008 21,002 clicks $536.23

I am facing too many fluctuations in my earnings.

so i think these days my clicks have gone down. Rest factors are same as past.

But i am not able to find why the hell clicks are decreased with traffic and sites are mostly same?

 

I think it depends mostly on your niche.
