Now that I've got a recent financial situation out of the way, I'm solidly making a good few thousand dollars every month online. I'm 19 and work from home full-time. I've decided to create a website where I'm going to share a LIVE case study, including URL, research, landing page + codes for exactly how I make money online, and hopefully you'll see me do that in the example (using clickbank). My question is: what would you like to see in a guide like this? I want to make sure I don't miss anything P.S. If you want to know the site so you can follow along, just send me a PM
When reading project postmortems, the parts I often find the most interesting and informative are the 'What we did right' and 'What we did wrong' sections. 'What went right' and 'What went wrong' (for unintended situations) are also interesting, as they can help in learning how to deal with wins and pitfalls.
I would like to see every detail: daily schedule of everything you do just for that site updates of what you looked at for that site updates of software used for that site updates of exact money spent on and for that site details on what you used to create / maintain that site details of who hosted the site for you A scientific case study doesn't leave out any detail. Finally you give your judgment of what really worked and what really did not. a cost / benefit analysis is very good for that cost = money cost = time benefit = reputation benefit = seo rank benefit = traffic gained benefit = clicks made benefit = purchases made Hell you could make that outline off of this entire post and fill in the blanks once a week heh. I'm very excited to see your updates. I hope your give us a starting out update immediately though [what you did to start]
Lawyer, good points. Gonna steal these suggestions to my own purposes... (when doing my own guides) Thanks (rep added)
I'd like to see your studies when they're ready Glen, make sure you post about them over here at digital point (or at least a link). Congratulations, that's a nice income at your age
Glen, i like your idea of sharing real case studies, basically users came across many over hyped claims and often they loose their time and money. bringing real case study live will definitely gain you readers trust and confidence. if you add real earning reports (even if it is $10 only) with the investments you made will help others, but it may work other way too. Good thinking!
I can't agree. Internet is full of such sites. Just typical instructions: 1. Find niche, 2) Get keywords, 3) do a good seo, 4) money comes in. Newbies need exact steps, what a successful marketer did, to achieve his success, what he did every day, when he started, how long he worked. All do's and don't-s. How much money he invested. etc etc. Newbies need all this information.
OK I've done 4 parts so far, most of the parts are very detailed, 1000+ words including images Thanks for all the replies, I appreciate it!
What I don't understand, and excuse me for my post, is how come there are some many people making good money online, and how come so many of them want to share that knowledge?
1. Helping people have the help I received years ago, and those who are not as fortunate 2. Build my audience, I want to be seen as someone who is trusted and if people trust you and you offer great info then they will be happy to tell their friends about you
The only problem I see with this is "newbies" copying everything word for word, even your niches. I've seen it time and time again before. That's why most people show examples and not their own campaigns...
