What's best for site visitors

I just started my blog about 1 1/2 ago and do not require visitors to sign-up to leave comments, I just approve or delete the spammers them as they come in. Should I require a visitor to register to leave comments?

    Thanks!

No. I think it is best to make it as easy as possible for people to comment. Not many people are going to take the time to register first, I know i don't

No. It's not a good idea. It's hard enough to get comments going, don't hinder it ...people don't like putting up their email address unless they are getting something.

agree with above comment, when u have nothing (i means PR and traffic), even free with do follow still no one will post comment ....
But that will be 100% opposite if u have PR4 .... welcome to cyber world, PR means a lot in internet ..

I just require users to have a previously approved comment and after that I just let them post without manually filtering.

You can tick that option within the admin section.

Use a plug in that will filter out bots and then if you want comments make it as easy as possible to comment. WP Spamfree is a nice plug in.
