If I got a choice.. I will take the first one "A link from non relevant site with PR 7" Both are good.. the second one can get your higher in SERP. Second one can make your site credible.
I agree. Untargeted traffic have really poor ROI or CTR (if you are serving AdSense). But targeted traffic kicks. Interesting pool.
I'd rather have a relevant link for targeted traffic and higher serps. Like my customers will look at my PR bar... I think not. I sell a real product not adsence or links. If the pr is passed on, which I think it won't, then you only gain from it when you sell links. I personally give more credit to sites that list high than a site with a larger green bar.
Relevant every time. There's no harm in picking up a few high PR IBLs though avoid having lots of off topic recipricol links.
I am just wondering why you would pick "a non relevant link from a site with PR7". You named two GREAT reasons to choose the relevant site with a PR of 3. What is your reasoning for the first choice?
Personally I would rather have content that is related to mine, Thats how im working most of my sites, i wont link with a site if its non relavent, i just see no point of course im just a SERP junkie so...
I will take the PR7 link. Because I am a Pagerank addict. Relevant link for one of my sites though because it is hard to find a relevant link for that (its a religious site) IT
I'd go for site with PR7 and once I get good traffic from it, I'll switch over to a more relevant site for link. PR7 is PR7.
I'll definitely go with relevancy and it is suited for a long term approach and probably sensible link building.
The best link is the one which brings releant traffic. But PR3 relevant link might bring no traffic at all. So, if it don't bring.. lets say 10 visitors a day, i would choose PR7 link because at least it will get the site spireder frequently and one PR7 link is probably enough to get PR5 at the next update.
I donnt believe in PR much, i always go for relevant links even if there is no PR. Its only after i am done with relevant links i start looking for some high PR links.
