I am sure you have noticed that some visitors of website never click ads, while others do. The worst kind is the web savvy Digg.com types, they will never ever click a google ad. Then there is the forum users like DP and many others who may click one ad here and there to be nice, but in general dont click ads. Also the "make money" people and the "self growth" people are not happy to click ads either. So who actually click ads? I thought about this. We want to get the internet users who still to this day use the internet only for a few things: email, facebook and...... their hobbies and interest. These are the best to sell to. They may use the internet everyday, but they only read the newspaper and use for social purposes. But they spend maybe a lot of time on ONE hobby and they want to know everything about that. Those are very good visitors for Adsense, a link-unit will make a killing. Now who else is good for adsense? I think teenagers because they dont care one bit about other people making money, they havent learned the lesson of hard work So they will click on everything that has a good sales word. What do you think about this?
Generally people coming from search engines tend to click often, and theirs don't get smart priced. Be careful with other traffic IMO - especially to the digg type crowd as already mentioned
I do not click on adsense ads, and I'm pretty sure that most webmasters do not. However many people don't know what an adsense ad is and they will click on it
I was thinking more about how to promote your websites right? Finding niches where people are not usually used to adsense ads. Because even if you have search engine visitors, for terms such as wordpress theme, do you think they would click ad? I dont know, thats why I ask you?
You need TARGETTED traffic. Traffic from social bookingmarking sites like digg does not convert. Your best traffic that converts is usually from search engines. This is why you need to work hard to work your way up the SERPS.
I think that is true, I'm a teenager though and I don't click ads unless it is on google search results or its a well know website (that is advertising) the reason I don't click ads is because I know about them like you guys.
When search engines fetch irrelevant results ( or results with less information - mainly for less frequently used keywords ) and relevant ads ( what users actually want) , the ads get clicked. When I first started using net , this happened to me a lot. Nowadays I avoid clicking on ads, unless they really appeal to me. So you can say that first time users / beginners ( people still learning to use Google) tend to click a lot rather than tech savvy people.
Normally I dont click ads, if I find that ads are relevant to my subject and helpful for me I probably click on it.
your questions looks like you want to generate clicks/1 user. Its not possible. Just add better placements of ads. And never generate clicks. People will click automatically. Dont worry. The dont know that its an Ad. You are a publisher thats why you know everything about ads. But they are users they dont know. And will surely click if they are interested.
Basically you want visitors to your site that already have an interest in the site's content. You also want ads on your site which are relevant to your sites content. Search engines and similar targetted organic traffic sources can deliver those targetted and engaged visitors. Contextual advertising agencies such as Adsense can deliver the targetted ads. You can also manually select affiliate ads that are relevant to your sites content. The more targetted the ads are to the interests of the people visiting your site, the more clicks you will get.
I sometimes click on a well-written ad, which may be offering something of interest to me, but very rarely. But I do check out adsense ads on my blogs.......some of them are so poorly written, with spelling mistakes and bad grammar!
if the ads are what they are looking for then usually they will click otherwise there is no need for them to click and earn for the publisher.
Ya, it seemed quite right. I click on ads only if I really need the thing in the ad. Otherwise, only new people do it.
some users already know how it is being played while others will click on the ads because they don't have any idea how things have to be played in the first place. life is simple.. but it ain't easy.
